In capitalism, people who work harder can generally be rewarded for producing more. Through higher wages, promotions, profits, or ownership. My question is how socialism handles that difference. If two people contribute very different amounts, what principle determines why they should receive the the same rewards or different rewards.

Could you respond to that? Common sense? Fairness? Should a sciety have it 'square' between all the people? Square means to 'set right. to balance, to bring into agreement'. One who works harder than another can hardly feel it is 'right' or agree that they be paid the same thing when he workx harder that than the other. My point: There can be no 'square' in normal relationships between people with different work motives. Geez. NO square.


You see, capitalism has a builtin mechanism for differentiating rewards, whereas socialism has to explain what mechanism it uses and how it avoids weakening the incentive to work harder. Surely you see that?

If these questions trouble you, how about this question. If socialism seeks greater equality, how does it preserve the incentive for someone to work twice as hard as someone else? Why wud I want to work harder than the nextguy
