The only reason Trump is putting us through this pain at the pump is to save face. He is gambling that he can get Iran to cry uncle before the world economy does and get a better deal than Obama did. If that never happens he will not save face. Everyone will see he made this mess for nothing. So he has to make you suffer the pain at the pump until he can ruin Iran's economy before he ruins the world economy. All so he can save face.
That will probably take a long time. How long will it take for republicans to want Trump impeached? Or maybe I should ask how high fuel prices need to go up before republicans have had enough of Trump trying to save face. $6 per gallon of gasoline? Do you think it is worth it to merely gamble that Iran will cry uncle before you and the world will?
It is time for republicans to admit Iran getting a nuke would not be the end the world. All Trump did is make sure that Iran has to get nukes to defend itself against the aggressors. He did the opposite of what he said he was doing.

Trump is a huge failure. He needs to be impeached before he puts troops on the ground and turns the whole republican party into a failure as well. He is insuring the next president will be a democrat. Republicans need to accept this sooner than later when it is too late.
I guess republicans are afraid of acknowledging the world economy is about to tank and it will destroy the republican party. Denial is a powerful thing. It will not take away the reality in the end though. Loyalty to Trump is destroying the republican party.

The war powers resolution is actually a convenient way for the war to end with Trump saving face. If Congress stops it he can blame it all on them and say he tried.
If the elites realize they screwed up by encouraging Trump to start this war they can easily stop it with congress stopping the war. But would that end Iran's control over who goes through the strait? Probably not. The only way to pay for the damage done to them in the war is to keep collecting toll for passage. So Trump will have to pay war reparations which is no way for him to save face. According to Seymour Hersh, that is what Trump is considering.

You naive fool. When Trump says Iran is negotiating a deal he is lying. No direct talks are taking place. Trump lies too much for direct talks to take place. He said Iran's 9 point plan was workable and later rejected it.
Trump is not serious about negotiations. He just lies to reduce oil prices. He has done that over and over again. It is a clear pattern. I just wonder when the oil investors will wise up to his lies so he cannot lie oil prices down anymore.

You are stating conclusions as facts without backing them up. Negotiations aren’t always public or direct, and markets move on a lot more than one person comments.
Anyway, The market does not agree with you. You fellers worry about gas price. Higher gas prices are a product of problems in Iran. The market, which is up by 250 at this moment , continues to do well, which means that it does not seem to be very concerned with the price of oil ,which can wreck any economy.. It means the market knows that this is a short term problem.
