Their crime rate may not be as high as ours, however, most of our crimes happen where there are gun bans and the criminals do not and will not abide by the law. The only thing the bans do is hinder the citizens from being able to protect themselves. Get rid of all the gun free zones we have and the crime rate will go down.
Eh?

The entire US (partial gun bans) has higher crime rates than Europe (complete gun bans) because some parts of the US have gun bans?

This makes no sense at all.

If you think there's a correlation between crime rates and gun possesion, then the evidence from Europe suggests that gun bans reduce crime rates, not the reverse.

Your arguments are as weak as the U.S. dollar (dong!)

A permit tells nothing about a person
, other than a government seal that say "permit to carry a gun" (and shoot it). The best way to avoid somebody shooting a gun is... surprise! Having no guns!

That is 1 + 1 = 2 and you cannot argue against it. Simple as that.
As I expected. You have no decency.

And I don't want to avoid people shooting guns. The right to keep and bear arms gives free people the means to stay free. So, surprise! I'll not be giving up that right to satisfy the whim of some rude pervert with an anal fixation.

Oh no! Oh no! I have no decency! Ay caramba! eNerd grew some eBalls! Ay caramba! No!

LOL

When one of your loved ones gets shot right in the head, I will demonstrate my point by you wither (a) going nuts on pain, and then getting into a high tower and killing 12 people with your semiautomatic rifle, or (b) start a hunger strike to increase gun control.

It has happened to many, you won't be the exception.

All empires have fallen, and the decadence of yours is already there (exhibit A: your widespread gun craze), so it will fall soon.

My only regret is for my American family and friends, who happen to be educated people who need no guns but, unfortunately, have the bad luck to live there... hence they will get shot one of these days.

If our two beloved gun nutcases here would have some (real) decency, they would read the following statement, ponder it, and then keep quiet until they learn real wisdom. The phrase contains it all: The problem, its cause, and the solution.

By our readiness to allow arms to be purchased at will and fired at whim... we have created an atmosphere in which violence and hatred have become popular pastimes.

It is from the greatest American of the XX century, Martin Luther King Jr.

You didn't understand what I was saying. The crime that happens here in the U.S. is usually where guns are banned. If they were not banned in those areas the crime rate would go down.

Europe has a high crime rate in rape, theft, pick pokets(which is also theft), crimes with knifs, ect. If the citizens were able to carry guns and were able to protect themsleves many of these crimes would not happen. There are many European citizens who wish they never gave up their guns and think that the ones here in the U.S. who hold to their guns have it figured out more than their own government.

First off, guns are tools, they do not kill, the person behind the gun is who kills. People have been violent and killing long before guns.

Guns do not create an atmosphere of violence and hatred, people have done that. Guns just make us equally able to defend ourselves from those who also use the tool to harm.

"False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages
for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men
because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for
evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of
such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to
commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the
assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an
unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

-Cesare Beccaria, as quoted by Thomas Jefferson

You mean the Jefferson that owned slaves? Jefferson was a junkie and a hypocrite.

I'll stick to Martin Luther King, Jr.

What, do you have a problem that the greatest man in the history of your country is black? Come on, say it. We won't judge you!

I've read that reaction from all rednecks I know, right after they get angry.

The fact is that, surprise, your anger and agressiveness demonstrates that, oh my oh my, you do care! You would have stopped posting long time ago if you didn't, lol!

I'll give you one more piece of info to be angry about, dude. The guy that has been cleaning the floor with you in this thread, tearing down your bigotry half seriously half joking, is... ready? A Mexican!

Once again, you assert that I am racist because I believe in gun rights. I've said nothing to deserve it. Apparently this is how you convince yourself that you have won an argument. Good job.

Thanks! 🙂

Now go and caress your guns, boy. Maybe you shoot better than you offer arguments.

Edit. Will you offer one? If you do, I would be more than happy to return to the debate.

According to this site : http://www.nationmaster.com/cat/cri-crime, the USA is leading the western world in murders, rapes and assaults per capita. When total crime is concerned, you're a bit lower.

Explaining why crime is higher in areas with gun bans is easy. People get guns fairly easy in the other areas and seek the easiest spot to commit crimes, places were guns are banned. If those areas allowed guns, they'd only be exporting the problem to the next gun free zone, but it hardly lowers crime in general.
