@AverageJoe1 saidTell me what is beautiful about 10+ MILLION people forced out of insurance due to 880 billion cut from Medicaid and 300 BILLION cut from FOOD STAMPS and 500 BILLION cut from Medicare?
Trump ......UN -humiliated! Thankyou, Trump. Check me out today, I will be busy!!
AND forcing an immediate increase in the national debt of FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS to PAY for the SECOND billionaire tax bribe?
Tell me where the Beauty lies in this ZOMBIE bill. My own wife may be kicked off Medicare because of this bill.
But to the ZOMBIES give a rats ass about ANY of that, who the HELL needs food stamps anyway? GET A JOB you worthless people living on the dole........
@AverageJoe1 saidWhy do you hate the USA so much?
Trump ......UN -humiliated! Thankyou, Trump. Check me out today, I will be busy!!
@sh76 saidbecause they are all the same, right? worse in some cases, right? Harris as president would have been just as bad as Trump?
I have not voted for either of the two major parties for President since Mitt Romney in 2012.
republicans just care too much, letting people keep more of their money and their care seems to be proportional to just how much money you have. so the poor get to keep 1000$ or even (gasp!!!) 3000 and the corporations get to keep a tiny bit more in tax cuts, plus that 1000 or 3000 from the poor when they need to buy groceries or pharmaceuticals.
i haven't heard this argument before, republicans care too much because they let people keep their money. It was hilarious.
And people still have the notion you're "one of the smart republicans" here
@Zahlanzi saidA principled republican is quite an oddity at this stage of fascism.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidSo much winning as long as you don’t want to own more than five pencils.
Like The Donald said.....There will be So Much Winning.....
@AThousandYoung saidWhy when Bernie says we don't need 13 types of shampoo is it 'socialism' but when Rumpty-Dumpty says we only need 5 pencils it's 'capitalism'? 😆

@sh76 saidDems passed additional spending but did not repeal the 2017 tax cuts. 😆
Marginally better, perhaps (which is not saying much).
Biden's injecting trillions of deficit spending into an already hot economy after covid was over, leading to years of runaway inflation, puts Dems is a tough position to take the moral high ground here.
This is not "whataboutism" The bill sucks. Trump sucks. No dispute.
But Dems are almost equally dumb on this issue and much dumber on many other issues.
So, no, I'm not pining for a Kamala or Gavin in the WH.
They would have reduced the deficit significantly if they had.
Americans are very used to the idea that they can spend ANY amount of money they please and it will not matter. Until that attitude changes, expect more of the same.
NB. That attitude changes when we hit a 100% stock sell-off and a world-wide Depression. Not before. It's interesting that it is the 'Roaring Twenties' again...😆

@sonhouse saidI see you continue to get personal, but this is not about relatives or people who, according to our elected representatives, may not qualify for meds, after careful deliberations with various experts, and, and, with economists who are thinking of ways to get people responsible for themselves, and not dependent on govt and other peoples' money. I think that this is one of my positions that liberals go ad hominem against me about.
My own wife may be kicked off Medicare because of this bill.
But to the ZOMBIES give a rats ass about ANY of that, who the HELL needs food stamps anyway? GET A JOB you worthless people living on the dole........
Repubs are not taking away healthcare, Sonhouse. These are entitlements, but the Constitution does not say people are entitled to healthcare. Equal protection? There is none, if you have one citizen who must pay into a pot for another citizen to withdraw from. That is NOT equal protection under the law. Healthcare could be vastly improved by getting the govt out of it entirely, (except for VA). Even that, we can privatize it. The healthcare companies design themselves around the government, you see. Oh no, not the government again. Didn't they pass the Affordable Healthcare Act?? If that was so great, why are Dems telling us that healthcare is unaffordable?? The Inflation Reduction Act did not reduce inflation. Just these two simple points might help you see the folly?
The govt has not made health care better or more affordable, so something has to change. You cannot just say that Medicare is about to be changed and make things worse. It IS worse. We have to fix it.
So, our legislators have thought this over, and are following a NEW path to Make America Great Again. There are MANY entities who will sue left and right when they see the proverbial 'troughs' to not be so full any more. Where do you think all the contents of the trough will come from?
Every one should make their own trough. There is not ONE pie. Everyone make their own pie. You may have been facetious, I cannot even tell, to say a above 'everyone get a job', but that sure would be a good start.
Curious, do you know able bodied people who cannot take care of themselves?
Of course, there are about 50M of us that we SHOULD take care of, so leave them out of your ponderings, please.
You don't have to write about expensive toilet seats any more, because the Trump policies are ALL about reallocating our expenditures, for lack of a better word. I sure hope that the loser grads that you love do not get a dime of MY money to pay off their loans. Is that not the problem of the people who borrowed and spent money?. Geez, another thing that libs hate me for. I keep saying....'what did I say to upset you', but y'all never tell me.

Dems are worse on social and cultural issues.
So it's pick your poison.
There are many smart Republicans, but yes, certainly, I'm one of them.
You how I know?
1. I'm smart
2. I'm a Republican
Neither of those statements are subject to reasonable dispute.
@Zahlanzi saidSo here is Zahlanzi. So , tell me, would Kamala have had a CLUE about the nature of the yield curve, or the 2-Yr Treasury Yield holding around 4%, or. after the Bill passed, how the falling bond yields are giving stocks a lift? Would she have a 2nd nature about any of this??...........................Trump does.
who did you vote for
Edit:
"So, no, I'm not pining for a Kamala or Gavin in the WH."
nvm i got my answer
So, you ask SH76 who he voted for ? Make a point for us, as to your sarcastic question to SH76. Why can you libs not speak straight? A lot is lost in sarcasm, don't you know?

good for you, got one half right. it's made half right by adding trump in paranthesis as if republicans were ever right on the economy.
since Reagan republicans have run up the bill when they are in power and left democrats to enact unpopular measures to try and bring back some sort of fiscal responsibility. And then Mitch came during Obama and just flat out declared they will oppose anything Obama tries to do that doesn't involve tax cuts.
"Dems are worse on social and cultural issues."
that's your (bad)(heartless)(ignorant) opinion.
"So it's pick your poison."
Yes, because adding several trillion to the deficit, cutting medicaid and foor programs is on the same level as even the worst DEI program you can think of (and the majority of them are good)
"1. I'm smart
2. I'm a Republican"
Ha!
"Neither of those statements are subject to reasonable dispute."
I just disputed one of them. If you said nothing else on this forum, ever, the "republicans adding trillions to the deficit" is just as bad as democrats doing whatever DEI or who knows what else you thought of is enough to forever label you as dumb.
@AverageJoe1 said"Trump does."

Trump doesn't know how to form complete sentences and is the laughing stock of the entire world. He didn't have a clue how to run a business when he wasn't senile let alone now when his brain is mush. The only reason he appeared more capable than Biden is that he constantly runs his mouth with random words stringed together and he only appeared capable to idiotic republicans who don't know enough to realize everything he said is idiotic nonsense.
Was that straight enough talk for you?
