Now hookahs are the way to go if you really want to enjoy nicotine!

Don't you understand that the purpose of a cigarette is to be a drug delivery device, and that that drug is nicotine? This is like saying making alcoholic beverages stronger is a twisted plot on the part of the alcohol manufacturers.
I totaly agree.

Now they even Gotten so bold as to now have comercials TELLING people not to buy their product, how big do your balls have to be for that one.

But as far as actual smoking concerns nothing piss ...[text shortened]... wills and beliefs on the smoker well that is some good old fashion Facism plain and simple.

No sure I love smokers. I love walking into work and seeing 25 people all standing there in a wall of putrid smelling smoke sucking down cigarettes. I love the fact that I sit there and watch people at work who smoke take a 15 minute break every half an hour. I love the fact that I walk around a pub or club and come home with 7 burn marks, 5 holes in my t – shirts and smelling like an ashtray. I love the fact that barmen and barmaids have gotten cancer because of second hand smoke.

Well I am sorry for wanting to stand where I want and breathe clean air. Here in Western Australia, they have banned smoking at pubs, clubs, restaurants and even beaches. And I tell you what, it is great. We don’t have to put up with that carcinogenic horrible smell anymore and those little butts lying around everywhere.

But most of all, i feel sorry for smokers. They are the slaves of the tobacco industry.

Well you don't have to work there. Find another job if you don't like it.

Well you don't have to go to that pub go some where else.

Well the Barmen and barmaid can finf other jobs as well

Still everything you speal of seems to be your own choice. the bottom line is you want for some reason be there even though it has all these things you despise so after you weigh all the pros and cons you still CHOOSE to be there no one is forcing you to be there you make that as a conscience descision to be there.

And you should be sorry for trying to force others into believing what you belive, Smokers should have their freedoms just like you expect to have yours.

Fascism- a governmental system led by a dictator or group having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.

Yeah non-smokers forcing smokers to give up what they want and to be forced into a non-smokers lifestyle. sure sounds like good old fasion Fascism to me.

Plus as I stated befor but you just seem to have been to ignorant to read the whole or my post that I am not a smoker but I believe in their right to smoke if they choose. Because I believe in any ones right to do what they want, as lond as it dosen't enfringe on the rights of others.

And your not trying to prevent them from killing themselves your trying to prevent them from doing somthing you don't like, and thats what s wrong with you "people" you think just because you don't like something that gives you the right to destroy it for everyone.

Yeah, forcing people to stop at red lights - fascism.

Preventing children working 14 hours a day - fascism.

Health and Safety law - facism.

Speed limits - facism.

If smokers could pursue their addiction without affecting anyone else, your arguement might have some merit. But they can't, and as soon as your habit affects other people, then it becomes hte business of the state.

Here in New Zealand they recently banned smoking in bars, clubs, pretty much anywhere someone will be working. I'm happy with that.
In fact I think they should ban smoking in all public places. I sure do love sitting under a bus shelter when it's pouring with rain surrounded by 5 people smoking. And then when the bus arrives they'll take one last drag, toss the cigarette onto the ground (littering) and then exhale as they get onto the bus. It's really great when someone who has just finished smoking sits down behind you on the bus. All you can smell is the putrid stench of smoker.

It's utterly disgusting and that's neglecting the health facts.

EDIT: It's my right not to be subjected to your cancerous exhalations. If you don't like it go live in a different country.

There is a time and place. I was in Amsterdam last weekend trying to eat some dinner with about 15 people smoking all around me and it was just totally discusting. There was no non smoking area, and the people were blowing the smoke in our direction to take it away from their own table. Its nothing to do with the second hand smoke thing, its the simple fact that its nasty and putting me off my food.

They aren't trying to ban smoking, just smoking near non-smokers.
And one of those "one reason or another"s is because it's addictive..

I don't particularly like smoke, but I'm pretty much content with it being banned in the workplace and on public transport. I would let bars and restaurants decide for themselves, but then the problem is that bars and restaurants are also workplaces.

Why should non smokers be the one's to alter the way they live and work just because of smokers? All they are trying to do is breathe clean air. That’s not hurting anyone. If you want to choke your lungs with that cr@p, fine, just don't choke the people around you and move on.

Smokers lose their freedom the moment their habit affects others around them detrimentally. Simple.

Being concerned that the UK houses at least 100,000 muslims who think that the London bombiings were justified- fascism.

Isn't forcing someone to either move away or breath your smoke fair? Isn't it downright antisocial to breath smoke around someone who can't stand the smell? If someone sat next to you and masturbated then would you say "good on you, it's your right"?
