Fascism- a governmental system led by a dictator or group having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
Yeah non-smokers forcing smokers to give up what they want and to be forced into a non-smokers lifestyle. sure sounds like ...[text shortened]... just because you don't like something that gives you the right to destroy it for everyone.
Maybe you think we should pollute the water supply because we're preventing people who like drinking toxic sludge from doing so?

Shouldn't a business that has an established clientele of smokers have some say in how he continues to operate his business?

Originally posted by scottishinnzAnd do you not think a business owner has rights? Why would you want to do business with a nightclub that allows smoking if you are a non-smoker? Why would you want to do business with such a place so much that you insist upon laws being passed that force him to change the way he handles a legal product within his establishment?

Originally posted by Hank ReardenI think it should work the other way... for bars etc. It's your choice to smoke, so you should step outside. It's not hard. (For the record I smoke)
I really admire the Tobacco industry, they sell a deadly addictive product that cost too much and they have people almost wraped around the block to buy them. Now they even Gotten so bold as to now have comercials TELLING people not to buy their product, how big do your balls have to be for that one.
But as far as actual smoking concerns nothing piss ...[text shortened]... wills and beliefs on the smoker well that is some good old fashion Facism plain and simple.
And, on the question of 'Light' cigarettes... I have never seen ad's saying that lights are better for you... I always thought they were there so you could decide how much punishment your throat should take...

Are people treating you better now, my friend? I should recognize your avatar insignia ... 82nd Airborne, right?
