No "federal law" is mentioned in that statute.

You remain stupid and brainwashed.

And off-topic, of course. Trump's lawyers can make all these claims on appeal.

Now this is a lie:

Mott: To this day no one knows the predicate crime that made these felonies, not even you…you are a loser pos

And then you posted your knowledge of the instructions given to the jury that specified what the "predicate crimes" which elevated the charge to a felony were.

So shame on you, Mott.

The predicate crime has already been mentioned: NY Election Law sec. 17-152. That requires the two or more persons conspire by unlawful means to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office.

As to what the "unlawful means" were, the Judge's instructions were clear:

"Although you must conclude unanimously that the
defendant conspired to promote or prevent the election of any
person to a public office by unlawful means, you need not be
unanimous as to what those unlawful means were.

In determining whether the defendant conspired to
promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office
by unlawful means, you may consider the following unlawful
means: (1) violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act
otherwise known as FECA; (2) the falsification of other business
records; or (3) violation of tax laws."

Judge Marchan did a fine job in pre-trial proceedings and at the trial in May where Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of a felony offense. But his post-trial actions have been filled with errors based on too little respect for the law and too much deference to the convicted criminal in the case.

Trump should have been sentenced in September. Marchan taking into accou ...[text shortened]... n sentence is not viable, then Trump should at least receive a hefty fine and a period of probation.
Not going to read this crap, since it is number 149 of the attacks you have put on this man. We hear you and bedmate, Sonhouse…..we get the venom.
Look what the people who work for Biden have cooked up to thwart our president. You and they are sickening, you do not disappoint.
Do you think for a second that Biden came up with this? A 1953 law? Yet, you follow, you and Sonhouse, the usual lemmings, your queer yellow brick road .

So you barge into a thread with no intention to actually discuss what it is about.

That makes you even more of an a@@hole than usual.

If you want to discuss Biden's actions, start another thread. Not a single right winger wants to actually debate the topic of this thread for fairly obvious reasons.

Biden is not a convicted criminal BTW, but Donald Trump is.

EDIT: It is hilarious that your link says Trump used the exact same law to ban drilling in coastal areas for 10 years from Florida to North Carolina. I don't recall you bitching about that.

You know, we know what you people are doing, anything to drag down Trump. Sue him, put him in an orange jumpsuit, raid his house but not Biden’s, I am astounded. That There is not more media about what the hell has happened to Trump over these years.. he has never harmed anyone, outside of what the law allows, such as bankruptcy, which is tough on the creditors etc. unfortunate for someone who gave Trump credit. That is business. Libs do not understand business.
This is why I tire of you and SHouse with your hellacious lawfare. This is why your biased crap is tiresome. Trump will leave you fellers in the dust. I will be sorry. You are blind, I can see. Said it and I’m glad. 😒

Its sad you liberal democrats make a mockery of our laws and abuse the power given to them.

What a freaking hypocrite.

"Its sad you liberal democrats make a mockery of our laws and abuse the power given to them."

This is you Trumpublicans. You call a rightful conviction "weaponization".

It is you mocking the justice system. And abuse of power? What would you call a con-man winning another election? A lot of people conned is what I call it.

What, for the eleventh or twelfth time being told?

Why can't you just remember what you're told? You could at least look it up yourself. Asking yet again just shows how meager your claim is on intelligence. When you got talked into worshipping a liar and a con-man, did they surgically remove half your brain, too? Or is that why you were so easily talked into it?

I hope you eventually get something for selling your soul to Donald Trump. Not that it was worth anything to begin with, obviously. Maybe a free, "Made-in-China" MAGA cap?

This is the basic difference between Democrats and Trumpublicans. Democrats proudly tell the truth, like in the Jan 6 Committee. Trumpublicans proudly lie for their savior, Donald J. Trump, the con man.

From a legal standpoint I'm sure this is correct, however, when you add this situation into the mix with a convicted criminal that is worshipped as a deity by millions and has also been recently elected President, this is what you end up with.

There's no reason a NY judge presiding over a criminal trial should take such irrelevancies into account.

this will be overturned on appeal, no amount of wishful thinking from you perverts will change that. Deal with it, its over, Trump is now your master and he dont go for the freaky shyt.

A President is an elected official who the People (indirectly through the EC) allow to run the Executive Branch of their Federal Government for a temporary period of time.
That doesn't make him/her anybody's lord and/or master no matter what servile right wingers believe.
