@mott-the-hoople saidLol what are they? We've just discussed that the twitter files are just internal debates among employees about whether or not clear violations of their user policies justified a ban.
at the end of the day it really doesnt matter what you are in favor of.
musk exposed twitter and the left for what they are…nice company you keep
@wildgrass saidUnless you don't care about the fact the government was directly involved, it was not just internal debates, there were outside influences at work as well. Do you want your government to say what is and is not acceptable points of view?

@mott-the-hoople saidThis whole thread is a right wing whinge fest concerning online platforms applying rules of use for posters just like we have here.
you libs sure do whine a lot. ever thought of manning up and compete on your merits?
oh thats right, you folks dont want that do you?
@mott-the-hoople saidJesus H Christ Stop whining man, oh yeah and lying.
"There's no evidence that any decisions were made by the government. '
LOL...the govt had a one way back door where they placed their demands
@kellyjay saidthey dont care, they know the govt was involved in censoring certain people...its just them lying about what happened

@kevcvs57 saidCan you ever just take what someone says and deal with it on an individual basis, and not bring up millions of people as if leaning right is a crime or something less? Seriously, is it baked into your head, "right-wing", and leave the points alone?

@KellyJay
Well there are folks like Pena who shoots up democrat leaders homes so there IS danger in the ultrarightwingnuts masquerading as humans.
Remember the guy who hit Nancy's husband with a hammer?
Remember the dude who threw bombs into democrat buildings?
You think we should just ignore such reprehensible behavior as if they are just one off nutbags?
They are NOT just one off nutters, they have been programmed by X45 for YEARS, stolen election BULLSHYTE which X45 (I can't even call him by his name anymore).
He is a flaming TRAITOR and if he was in China or Russia or Iran, he would have been summarily executed.
I would be happy with X45 just dying in prison which he richly deserves.
@kellyjay saidOf course I care but the twitter files act like this is somehow unique or unprecedented. It happens all the time. Can you identify any industry that the government is not involved in?

@sonhouse saidI'm not suggesting for one second that people do not bad things, not one second, what I am suggesting is that bad behavior done by people on the left doesn't justify calling you names or accusing you of anything simply because I think you lean left. If someone does something wrong, it is them, not the whole political spectrum they have to belong to that is guilty.

It is braindead stupid to brand an entire group of people due to someone else's crime to accuse a whole group of people if the guilty individual has a connection to that group, It may be the way you as an individual think, but you don't speak for the whole of the left any more than I do the right.
@wildgrass saidThe government acts and all industries have to line up processes due to government regulation, that quite different than having the government act as the thought police. Do you want your government altering your rights and privileges, due to some thought you have, or the opinion you voice on a public topic because someone in the government doesn't happen to like your opinion?
Of course I care but the twitter files act like this is somehow unique or unprecedented. It happens all the time. Can you identify any industry that the government is not involved in?
@kellyjay saidOne important point here is that theres no evidence in the twitter files or elsewhere of bias showing that conservative posters were deplatformed more than liberal posters. As discussed previously on this forum, systematic studies of twitter have shown that overall they have not banned specific political ideologies in favor of others. These posts about the twitter files are presented as transparency but seem to only show selective examples that prove a predetermined point. No effort was taken to present the system as a whole.

For example they say Biden did this and that but then leave out the fact that trump's administration and campaign were also doing the same.
@kellyjay saidThe government called in the tip. But the thought police are twitter employees, policy makers, and executives, a private publicly traded company, making decisions. It seems you are making an argument against capitalism.
