You are basically saying water without additives is a scam. That is not a credible explanation. And if what you are saying is true why aren't you in the bottled water business?
Did you read the article from the link I posted in my OP? It claims government subsidies are responsible. Why did you omit that from your explanation?
good thing i haven't said that.
"Did you read the article from the link I posted in my OP?"
hell no. i am not clicking anything you post.
"It claims government subsidies are responsible"
responsible for what
@Zahlanzi saidNo. JD Rockefeller had a near monopoly too. He was no socialist. Monopolists are typically capitalists. The same people that laud competition have no respect for it when they control the monopoly. Greed takes priority and we all know it.
" But the De beers inflated the price using their monopoly power to limit supply in the old days. "
was it because of socialism?
do you understand better now?
@Mott-The-Hoople saidThis is what I said:
Oh, you want to select the market but I cant.
Here is the prices from walmart/samsclub
walmart/samsclub

I fail to see your point
a strip bar ehhh? LMFAO
"Compare that to water prices from Walmart"
I told you to do the selecting and you have the nerve to claim I wasn't letting you? Now....back to reality. Bottled water should be very cheap. On average it is not even as good as tap water and that is free. You don't even know what purified water means.
We all know the average price of soda pop is cheaper than the average price of water. There is no good reason for it. It should be less for water in a bottle than water with more expensive additives. Common sense. Some people are messing with the free market economy so it is not free. So called capitalists have created a slave market economy. We have nonsensical price reversal.
@Zahlanzi saidRead the article or shut up. I am not going to explain what you refuse to read.

You are like a child that is determined to remain uninformed. You want to argue out of ignorance and you are determined to stay ignorant. Get a life.

You are a lunatic. I used your preferred provider (Walmart) to PROVE that you are wrong.
How can you read something that shows you are wrong, then you continue with the same BS? It doesn’t matter what reality is with you, it’s what you read by someone with an agenda that matters isnt it?

Where is tap water “free”?
@Metal-Brain saidyou are right, everyone should learn about at least one new conspiracy each week. It's just that water being more expensive than soda being a socialist plot doesn't sound like a particularly entertaining one.

I tell you what, add either some aliens or some vampires (sparkly or non sparkly) i to your next thread and i promise i will read that
@Metal-Brain saidBottled water is more pure and has had minerals added than the base water used to make flavored soda drinks like Coke.
I thought this topic would catch the eye of Average Joe, but if it did he is not biting. He does not want to explain why water costs more than soda pop. He would have to admit the free market is not a free market at all. Capitalism has the same flaws socialism has. Central control.
Adding corn sweetener should not make water cheaper. It is retarded. Crony capitalism i ...[text shortened]... is retarded unless you are selling insulin and meds for diabetes. Then I guess it is good business.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidI said "generally".

As I pointed out before, the quality of bottled water (generally) is not good at all. It is worse than tap water.
@Zahlanzi saidI never said it was a socialist plot. Stop being a drama queen.

I said capitalism can be worse than socialism and this is an excellent example. There is nothing free about a free market economy. It is as centrally controlled as socialism. Something self described capitalists cringe at the thought of admitting it.
@AThousandYoung saidI proved that wrong in an earlier post. Most bottled water is worse than tap water.
