I don't think there's anywhere near 20 million undocumented immigrants and never were. Maybe 12 million at most.

There are 2.2 million pending asylum cases and there were 1.3 million people with TPS status as of March 2025.

The President does have the authority to create TPS classes; Congress gave it to him.

Congress should change immigration laws to encourage, rather than discourage, it as present law does.

I will agree with your logic. We need the people, not the criminals, even though we have more than we need. So I go along with you, I think that Trump should allow everyone that is living here to go to the local post office or some general venue, and state their name and purpose of being here, and just like at the border, get let in. If they qualify like they always have, they can walk onto our premises and take care of themselves. I hope they can speak English. Oh, and take care of themselves. We will trust they planned for that? God help the Emergency Rooms.
We have to recognize the past process of becoming a citizen is passed, antiquated.. This is a new world , and this country is about to get so rich, the richest in the world, that we will need those people. As an aside, yes, the people that hired them will get richer than they are. If you liberals can live with that, we will be in good shape. No one will be all the same at the end of the day, Mamdani. Ain’t gonna happen, pitiful little Mamdani Bernie-man.
We however, should continue getting rid of the criminals that live in this country. This process should never stop. Kick them hell out. It is my prediction that Trump will come out with such a plan, which may thankfully actually shut down all of your brothers up and down the streets of Minnesota..
