The post that was quoted here has been removedTo be honest, most of the Indonesians we have daily dealings with never eat anything out of a tin, it's too expensive, and a tin of spam would be regarded as a luxury. Every year we buy Christmas hampers for some of the poorest families in the village; rice, noodles, coffee, tobacco, chocolate milk for the kids, biscuits and whatever, apart from the *rice it's a once a year treat. Maybe we should add a tin of spam to the list...*We've been buying sacks of rice throughout the pandemic so that at least nobody gets sick of malnutrition. Funny thing is they're the happiest people I've ever met.
@shavixmir saidOne person's poverty is another person's luxury. Everything's relative.
When I think of spam, I think of poverty.
Now the tories are claming they’ve going to be the first nation to roll out a vaccine... because they left the EU!
Such utter pish and lies.
Just to be clear: the vaccine they’re going for is Pfizer. Created by two Turkish people in Germany with American funding.
The UK in 2020 still falls under European law.
And any testing, etc. that they do different to the rest of the EU has nothing to do with being in or out of the EU.
This has been 5 years of lying to the public. Just so the rich can hide their bloody incomes in tax havens.
Christ, England’s worse than a bloody trailer park in Arkansas.
@earl-of-trumps saidIf that’s what you think I wrote, good for you.
@shavixmir
So Trump and THE RICH created SARS-COV-2. Gotcha!!
Oh no!
The British ministry of defence is getting ready to protect British waters from rabid European fishermen... with 4 boats!
God damn.
This is an escalation the likes we’ve not seen since Have I Got News For You brought out the extended versions with 15 extra minutes of comedy per show!
What with boarding fishing vessels and returning migrants to French ports (a real proposal by a British minister: “Get the royal navy to sail migrants into European ports.” ) these 4 boats are gonna be hella busy.
Well, considering the British fishermen won’t be able to sell their fish in Europe (80% of British caught fish by Brits is sold in Europe), I presume these 4 boats will distribute the British fish to the starving masses in Cornwall and Liverpool...

Deploying Royal Navy gunboats to protect UK fishing waters under a no-deal Brexit would be "undignified", a former Conservative minister has said.
Yeah, seemingly I’m not the only one thinking madness rules.
@shavixmir saidThe hits just keep on coming.

@shavixmir saidDo you think you have troubles? You ought to read up on what they call the new deal over here.
The brexit looks like it’s in its end game.
Unbelievably, the UK still hasn’t strikken a deal; something that is so daft I’m not even going to go into it.
But UK farmers rely on EU subsidies. They’re going to stop (no matter what sort of a deal is coughed up at the last minute). And the UK isn’t going to pay subsidies to the farmers.
Fresh food is going to be a drama ...[text shortened]... ybe invest in massive pork and chicken farms or something unpleasant).
What will the British eat?
Neither country will be recognizable.

@biffo-konker saidI’m refusing to get involved in all the pre deal or no deal BS.

But I wonder if the UK Would do be only sovereign state to deploy patrol boats for commercial and security reasons. I suspect not.
