@shavixmir saidSince Britain, France and the rest of the EU are in NATO, being the relevant organisation for military cooperation, I'm not convinced you have a point here.
As I pointed out in another post: Preti Patel (one of the government’s ministers) actually put forward the idea of using the royal navy to pick up these vessels and dump them in French ports.
Until the whole world pointed out to her, that when the UK leaves the EU... her royal navy sailing into EU ports isn’t a very acceptable thing to do...
And that is the level of competence the UK government is oozing.
@deepthought saidYah... I don’t think a British warship dumping refugees in a French port will be acceptable.

I suggest the UK try it in New York... see how accepted it will be.
@shavixmir saidIf it wasn’t for the fact that the new variant is in the Netherlands and other parts of Mainland Europe. New Variant Covid coming to a supermarket aisle near you.
This new strain of Covid is rather worrying.
Looks like the UK is gonna be cut-off even more drastically than post-Brexit.
It’s tempting to call it the trailer plague-pit of Europe, but I really hope you’re all safe over there!
@shavixmir saidIt could be humble pie or high on the hog or both, we will have to see the details of the Brexit trade deal that they’ve just agreed. 🥳🍻🥂
The brexit looks like it’s in its end game.
Unbelievably, the UK still hasn’t strikken a deal; something that is so daft I’m not even going to go into it.
But UK farmers rely on EU subsidies. They’re going to stop (no matter what sort of a deal is coughed up at the last minute). And the UK isn’t going to pay subsidies to the farmers.
Fresh food is going to be a drama ...[text shortened]... ybe invest in massive pork and chicken farms or something unpleasant).
What will the British eat?
