I'm not worried about Elon Musk. I am aggravated by paying insanely high property taxes to fund a failing public school system that I don't use and that is incompetent despite spending per child that's double what I pay for my kids' parochial school.
I'm reluctant to get into another covid fight right now (we've been through this a zillion times), but the plain fact remains that the closing of outdoor recreation facilities and the force-masking of children into 2022 (along with countless other little things) exposed this government as dogmatic idealogues more interested in virtue signaling than science.
I'm sure there is also plenty of stupidity in how they govern themselves in Florida and Texas, I get it. And I'm not leaving New York any time soon (for one thing, my wife won't leave her family), but I've got no more respect for how my local and state government operate. Incompetence is too light a word for how Albany functions these days.

I'll agree with you there. The inability to stop the tax cut/more military spending mantra is insane.
But with all that insanity, I'll take a mantra that leaves the basics of free markets intact over an ideology that looks at free markets as a fundamentally bad thing.
