@sh76 saidHarvard Business School thinks so:
Aside from the fact that there's a greater over-all talent pool because there are more people in the talent pool, do you think similarly situated companies with similar talent levels will do better merely as a function of having greater diversity?
Are there any controlled studies of this question that you know of?
Asking to ask, not to mock.
"Research shows a consistent correlation between diverse leadership and stronger financial performance for companies. For example, companies in the top quartile of gender diversity on executive teams were 25% more likely to experience above-average profitability than peer companies in the bottom quartile – and this premium is increasing over time. In terms of ethnic and cultural diversity, the effect is even stronger: Top-quartile companies were 36% more likely to outperform bottom-quartile ones in return on equity."

Our “Diversity Matters” research looked at the relationship between the level of diversity (defined as a greater share
of women and a more mixed ethnic/racial composition in the leadership of large companies) and company financial
performance (measured as average EBIT 2010–2013). The research is based on financial data and leadership
demographics compiled for this purpose from hundreds of organisations and thousands of executives in the
United Kingdom, Canada, Latin America, and the United States. The size of the dataset allows for results that are
statistically significant and the analysis is the first that we are aware of that measures how much the relationship
between diversity and performance is worth in terms of increased profitability.
The analysis found a statistically significant relationship between a more diverse leadership team and better
financial performance
@mott-the-hoople saidLiar DeSantis has ordered African and African American studies off the curriculum so as to avoid studying the subject of slavery
“but to deny it was a crime against humanity and even to bar children from learning about it because it might upset the little white princes and princesses is racist because it denies black children of a massive and pertinent truth about their history in order for racist white parents not to have to answer any awkward questions.”
here is the problem with your argum ...[text shortened]... black history (slavery). The issue here is (teaching black queer theory)…why would you be for that?
@kevcvs57 saidWinner, winner, chicken dinner.
“ where the schools are actively trying to make your kids feel like crap because of their whiteness”
It’s literally just occurred to me that guilt is there for a reason and the lack of guilt is an indicator of sociopathy 🤷🏻♂️ The whole of the US should surely feel some pang of guilt about slavery and it’s aftermath, it’s how we know we’ve done something wrong.
@sh76 saidFlorida...isn't that where old Jews go to die?
South Florida is growing so fast as an Orthodox Jewish enclave that it might eclipse Jew York City in the next decade or two (assuming Ocean County, NJ, is not included as JYC).
I'm not worried about Elon Musk. I am aggravated by paying insanely high property taxes to fund a failing public school system that I don't use and that is incompetent despite spending per child that' ...[text shortened]... and state government operate. Incompetence is too light a word for how Albany functions these days.

Now, SoFla communities are exploding for all ages.
Personally, I can't stand the South Florida weather, but people seem to like it for some reason that baffles me.

It's the rest of the year that's impossible to deal with.
You even been to Miami in July? It's like being a sauna with your clothes on.

@kevcvs57 saidThey should leave those courses as 'optional', IMO. But I seriously doubt that the History texts have been stripped
Liar DeSantis has ordered African and African American studies off the curriculum so as to avoid studying the subject of slavery
of the slavery issues just because they are removing African American studies. Two different issues.
