@kevin-eleven saidTakes too much effort to keep track of whatever he says. Best to just make fun of his ideas on a post by post basis.
BTW, what happened to your legal and academic careers? Did you get disbarred and suspended? 😉
Or is this just another of your fictitious examples used as a a rhetorical device?
@kevin-eleven saidCrowdfunding? What a grand idea. The owner of GoFundMe, which he established as a fun means for someone to get a dollar or two from strangers so that he could buy a snowboard or some paintbrushes and oils so he could engage in casual painting, is just loving that there are more desperate pleas for "help me, if i don't get X dollars to afford chemotherapy, i will die" than there are fun little hobby projects.
I think the punchline is that we all end up wearing burlap sacks, and the liberals take over the means of production while sipping champagne and wearing fancy clothes.
There probably are some areas where we could shrink the federal government and hand responsibility back to the states or even turn it over to crowd-funding initiatives, which should be easier to set up ...[text shortened]... crowd-funding would just provide different opportunities for skimmers, scammers, and power-mongers.
I bet this is what he had in mind when he established his fun project. A gladiator pit where for every terminal ill patient that makes his goal there are hundreds of others who will die or go bankrupt.
@zahlanzi saidI learn a lot from Zajlanzi and Handy Andy. I did not know that a Supreme Court Justice can be stupid. Entered that in my journal. What else have you gleaned from justices?

And glad you have pointed out that Marx did not know what he was talking about. You may have upset your fellow hangers-on , but I learn so much from you. As t my various enterprises, like I said, I am a businessman. Funny, libs think that one cannot have his finger in a lot of pies. Hey, I have to work two jobs! 😆
Amazing that I am communicating with, or listening to, people who advocate socialism. Ha, I am trying to picture a bunch of socialists going to vacant land and building a factory, business, accounting, insurance, truck fleet, from scratch!! And then convincing all the populace to live under socialism. You need us to provide those things. Libs need conservatives and business people.....which you folks aint. I bet you excel in frisbee tournaments, though.
@averagejoe1 said"A bunch of socialists" can build a factory quite easily. Workers really don't need someone with a boot on their neck taking the lion's share of their output in order to do productive work.

@no1marauder saidYall carry on with your worker coops. Sounds like a group of happy people. Is there a boss, like i am a boss, or isit just willy nilly ? if there is a boss, does he make more money than everyone else? (marx would love ❤️ you)

Since my note above was somewhat of an analogy, in the real world, next week if you prevail ,would you just take over my business and those of other businessman? How would it play out?
@averagejoe1 said"At Mondragon, there are agreed-upon wage ratios between executive work and field or factory work which earns a minimum wage. These ratios range from 3:1 to 9:1 in different cooperatives and average 5:1. That is, the general manager of an average Mondragon cooperative earns no more than 5 times as much as the theoretical minimum wage paid in their cooperative. For most workers, this ratio is smaller because there are few Mondragon worker-owners that earn minimum wages, because most jobs are somewhat specialized and are classified at higher wage levels. The wage ratio of a cooperative is decided periodically by its worker-owners through a democratic vote."

@no1marauder saidI would LOVE to see 50 guys buy a sock factory together, work there, and make a boatload of money. They can easily do that as they work through the mine field of govt regulations.

There would be no socialist influence I presume? No socialist society where, when the dust settles, that the citizens are socialists. I own one. Am I Socialist? There are 30M businesses in the US. Are they all socialists?
Then why tell us about it while discussing socialism? Or, is there indeed socialist influence from a community or the governments? If not, why tell us about it? If there is, then complete your statement which implies that their ownership is socialist. In that case, you are saying that their ownership constitutes socialism. But this proves nothing, since there are 30M privately owned businesses all over the country. Capitalists Galore%!!!!
In other words, what you talkin’ bout?
@no1marauder saidOK, you win that one, independent (I know, y’all wince at that word) men can easily build a factory, a business.

So, again, what point, in a socialism discussion , are you making when all over the country, today men are owning businesses? What do those who want socialism for America want to change? Please. What?
@no1marauder saidYes. Easy. A free standing business cranks up in this country just like that. Go for it, make money. Split up profits any way they want to. We all get that. I might build one myself with 9 partners.

Please now bridge the gap and connect this USA way of good capitalistic business with the Spain business. I am definitely missing something.
@averagejoe1 saidhealthcare not being tied to employer.

healthcare being provided by the government from tax revenue.
a higher minimum wage that reflects the increase in productivity and living cost.
free college education.
an end to tax loopholes for the rich and higher taxes for anyone making over a million a year.
an end to endless wars.
moving away from fossil fuels towards a greener economy
paid family leave
affordable medication.
getting money out of politics
easier access to vote
to name but a few.
Now do the only thing you're good for and entertain me with your "drunk hobo screaming in the street " arguments that implementing any of these would mean the end of the US and a descent into a communist hellhole.

@zahlanzi saidThese are great examples of how libs want to take over people. I take care of my own healthcare, and cannot imagine wanting the government to, for starters. Your 'higher minimum wage' is reflected, all right...in higher cost of goods and services, Its a wash. Free college is not free. How do you come up with the magic 'Million' a year? How bout 2M? How about $500K?

Getting money out of politics? You forget to say 'getting money out of one person and giving it to another'. Is that not at all creepy to you?
Fine to get money out of politics. Ending wars, too. Voting laws are all being improved now, check the news,,,,but I dont know what you mean by 'easier'. Would that not invite cheating and fraud? Just a question.
Getting rid of tax loopoholes is certainly a great idea. The fair tax would be a way to do that. we agree!!

@averagejoe1 saidI don't spend my entire life on this Forum like you do. Watched the MMA with some people from work last night and spent a day out with family. I'll get to your idiotic posts when I find the time.
