Here they only know what a phone booth is if they've seen one in a movie. 🙁 And "dialing" a telephone? They have no clue. Yet it wasn't that long ago (or not long enough, anyway) that I lived in a house that still had a heavy, black rotary phone. I'm starting to think it was the very first telephone.

I love it when you chat with a 20 year old and they are stunned when you tell them you didnt use a calculator in senior high school, and you didny have a computer in your school. (i'm 40)
I really miss what we had in Australia, "Cracker Night". In the U.K i guess Guy Fawkes night. We kids had unlimited legal access to all manner of explosive fireworks. What fun. It was cool as long as you were'nt an idiot with them. It lasted two weeks. You would save up all year.
Big sigh! Try that now and all manner of police end up at your door with drawn 9mm pistols.
I hate that fun has died.

no he didn't - you're just too young. he had the vic-20, none of this new-fangled c-64 lunacy, with it's dark casing and it's excessive memory size. no one needs more than 3.5kb usable ram.
