Or, we could stop saying that one specific thread caused issues.
I like your off-the-wall dramatic "throw the hands up" style responses. And they call me the drama queen round your parts!

How can you speak to what "most people" do with their unwarranted bans, if it is never voiced in public forum.
Your statements reek of nonsense.
Originally posted by Freddie2006We all know that anything we say here might provoke someone. That doesn't mean anything you say is good enough reason for a ban. While any individual case might not be really severe, I'd say that a system which allows punishment without explanations and sometimes without good reasons is a serious problem and detrimental to the site.
Perhaps this is because there is no real arguament here. The mods are trusted by the admin to make decisions, and the admin know that these might not always be right. We have to live with this. In severe cases (and I know this for a fact), the admin will act in moderation issues, this just isn't a serious case. All it is, is a couple of jackasses complaining becuase they got banned for posted something that they knew would provoke.

Always one with the facts aren't you.
Wrong again.
Stocken lost a bet and had to agree with, and basically big up RedNight for 24hours, and consequently started a thread about "loving RedNight".
I didn't read that thread, but from what I understand (and here's where you can correct me) stocken started getting a bit too into the loving RedNight thing. This was a topic that was sure to turn heads in the forums, and I'm sure that the same thing would have happened had stocken won the bet and the other player had to do the 24hours of loving RedNight.
Originally posted by Freddie2006Actually the thread didn't turn "nasty" until RookRAK came in and made the accusations he did, which he would probably have done somewhere else if the thread hadn't existed. For the most time, the thread was kind of fun and light-hearted.

I can speak about it because people are often banned from the forums and very rarely do you see several thread about it.

The "jackasses" as you call them never complained.
The "jackasses" as you call them, didn't know it would provoke.
The problem was between rookrack and RN.
BTW, do you think using the term "jackasses" is provocative?
Originally posted by NordlysBut regardless, the thread gave RookRAK the opperturnity to make his statement and turn it nasty, and from that point on, I assume, is where the trouble started.

Then shut up, fred, you're not a moderator.
As far as
"not hearing about bans in the forums"...Everything has to start somewhere.
