@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidI should have went back further in the discussion going on. He had been having a back and forth with me before. He most likely did mean you.

I am going to try and get a few things done, play a lot of chess, write an e-mail to the Hospital Administration about their security as we got little notes to see how they are doing. I have two days off Dialysis Sunday & Monday kind of like my week-end. I have a wash going right now to save my better half from doing it, she does a lot for me as it is.

@Very-Rusty saidSounds like you got the balance right. Keep busy, but not too busy.

It is recommended we stay busy and get exercise also, we have a special diet we are on. I just learned there is such a thing as getting too much Protein, even if you are a healthy person with no health issues. I go Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays except around the Christmas Holidays messes everything up for everyone including Staff and Bus drivers. I don't drive my vehicle as I don't know how I am going to be feeling after a 4 hour Treatment. I didn't realize there were so many people with Kidney issues or in Kidney failure as I am who need Dialysis. I am learning more and more about it every day. I been going to Dialysis since September 12th, 2024. So made it through my first year, things are looking good, keeping a positive attitude is a key to success. 😉

@Very-Rusty saidI think I have also done my bit for your health, keeping you on your toes.

Don't envy anyone going through dialysis, can't be easy. But yes, stay positive and prioritise your health over everything else (excluding family of course).

That we can agree on! 😉 If it wasn't for my better half, I really don't know what I would do. There are just things I can't do anymore that I use to and was a very active person which probably helped keep be strong.
I am planning on starting swimming as we have a pool not far from where I live so I can get my cardio good and strong. I just have to watch not to push it to hard.

Actually it was with baby bear cubs when their mother wasn't handy, I was gone soon as I hear her. 😉 Yup those good old days are over for me for sure. I still have the fond memories though they will always be there!
