I am not sure if you are talking about the "Bezirk" (borough) or the "Ortsteil" (subdistrict) - most likely the borough -, but in any case you'd probably need to know a more exact location to get a better idea about the place and whether it's worth investing there. Judging from the German W ...[text shortened]... n are still or have become problem zones, but those can be limited to one street or block.
Thanks, I think you are right. I will get the exact address.

Are there some sort of Police kiosks in Germany where I can go and get information from police officers about their impression of the area?

Sounds like you'll love it.

My reply to you, Nordlys, stayed in the other page.

Just asked if there are 'police kiosks' where I can have an informal chat with authorities about their impressions of the place.

No idea, I have never heard about something like that, but it may exist.

Got the address... is Herrnhuter Weg.

I know I can google and get hard facts, but I prefer personal impressions from all kinds of people about how they 'feel' in the area.

Why don't you just go there and walk around for the day? Trust your gut.

No more. This is just plain foolish now. If you believe that, I pity you.

Canada is lost to the world, the lunatics are running the asylum.
Let me see if I have this straight:

You posted a link because you thought it confirmed your beliefs.

People who actually read the link showed you were wrong.

Therefore, in your mind, the link that you chose as evidence is now wrong.

Neukoelln is crap-hole, just like Kreutzberg. Do not buy there. Even if it is cheap. Berlin is cheap as a whole, so if that place is even cheaper than Berlin averages then avoid avoid avoid.

Spend 20 Euros more and buy a flat in Mitte, the girls are nicer, the shops better and the streets safer.

Kreuzberg is a nice area. I lived there. Great mix of people.. near the center.
