If you knew you were going to get quite sick for 48 hours - incapacitated - would you rather it be during a weekend or during the work week?

I'm paid a fixed monthly salary, so no. Doesn't matter how many days I have off sick, I still get paid the same amount.

During the week on Thursday & Friday. My boss is pretty liberal about these things. When I had surgery last year I was off for two weeks then worked half days for a week. I didn’t use any sick days or vacation time and still got my regular check. If I need a day off I just tell him and he says OK.
Originally posted by MissShellYeah ... when I had my other jobs, I'd certainly rather be sick on a work day! Now it's more work to be sick than to show up and breathe on the people who got me sick.
depending on your profession.. i guess.. you are a teacher are you not? that is different to missing a normal day for most!
