For the record, professional athletes are being placed above the law and prosecution in many cases because of their status. This is also true of Hollywood actors and others of prominent wealth and power. It is true in most every major dollar sport. The NBA, MLB, NFL. I don't follow the NHL, but I am sure there are violators there as well. I can site you many many examples. The fact is, a run of the mill player gets squashed, a star gets white-washed.

Clearly the arm was moving forward, especially when taking into account the Earth's rotation and the dragging inertial frame of reference. We'll see how good Tom Brady is this year now that he has Donte Stallworth and Randy Moss to throw to. I'll be the first to say that the Patriots success has been a total team effort, from the quarterback, to the great team defense, to the great kicking by Adam Viniateri, and my own personal opinion that the trio of Belichick/Weiss/Crennel was the greatest coaching staff evah!!!1!

I don't think I can boycott the NFL. It gets tempting sometimes, like after this latest thing. Apparently MV personally slammed a dog against a floor until it was dead. I wear leather shoes, I eat meat, but I think I could sleep very well after taking an impact wrench to Vick's knees. Actually that might be too fast. Maybe just your standard 18V DeWalt cordless with 1/8" hole-drilling bit.
Apparently the problem of dog fighting in Chicago middle schools - you heard it right kids, middle schools - is so prevalent that police and school officials have had to launch an anti-cruelty campaign. One out of every five kids is reputedly involved in dog fighting.
This is where my utter contempt for the 'underclass' comes from. This kind of mindless, senseless, needless cruelty (as if there were ever a time where cruelty were necessary) baffles me. I understand that there are doctors and businessmen doing it too and I lump them in as part of the underclass. As if it's the job of decent society to accept these low standards these people set for themselves.
I think Roger Goodell will help me be a more appreciative fan of the NFL by weeding out scum like Vick, Pacman Jones, and maybe one glorious day, material witness to a murder Ray Lewis. He's at the end anyway, but a guy can always hope, yeh? Goodell is the man for the job at this point. NFL's never going to be full of choirboys - a) who wants that anyway and b) it never was; but I see Frank's point - I do not make a habit of enriching felons. Goodell's on the case, Frankie. Let him do his job and enjoy your Sundays.

I agree with you with the exception of one point: an 1/8" drill bit is too small. Believe me, I did structural repairs and modifications on aircraft for a number of years. And I've drilled myself in the fingers with a #30 (1/8) bit on occassion. Although it hurts it doesn't do a terrific amout of damage. I say ya gotta go with at least a 1/4 - 3/8" bit. And bury it to the chuck!

Tom Brady will go down as a pretty good quarterback, but his numbers will pale against the truly great quarterbacks statistically, although he will have several rings which means he played on great teams with great coaches, as you have already stated.
