Just the ones caught red handed with bombs intended to kill hundreds....Much as i understand where you are coming from mate, there is a line that surely must be drawn here.
Otherwise someone will reply:
"Take it to the debates forum, spanky."

I sincerely do not believe your song will be the same. Let your mother, or your sister or your girlfriend or wife get brutally raped and show me that compassion against the rapist. You've barely learned to wipe you ass by yourself (I am assuming here), and you are going to tell me about the world and how horrible I am? Not in this lifetime!!!
You are a morally corrupt individual.

Iraq was a mistake, they were never involved with al Qaeda, all the invasion has done is provoked more hatred and violence towards you.
It's not a good thing whatever way you put it. 🙁
I cannot know how I would feel if they did those things to my family, I can only imagine, but as I mentioned above it works both ways; you feel that these people should be tortured badly for attacking you, as a punishment; but I don't think this will ever work when you are interfering in places like Iraq and provoking them in the first place.
I think torture is wrong, I don't care if you think I don't have the right to judge you, I have opinions about life and how I don't think any pain should be placed upon it, and I wish to voice such opinions, I wouldn't want to be tortured myself or anyone else; it is wrong, I don't think I can ever justify it.
It is difficult to imagine how my opinion would change if those things happened to my family, all I know is what I think now.
Besides, how would you go about stringing up there tortured bodies? Clearly you couldn't just give them straight to their terrorist friends, (if you knew where they were, you would just attack them).
Would it then involve stringing up the bodies in local villages? How would they react?
I would think it would have counter-productive, with the local population from defending themselves from barbaric action; what would you think if you didn't have a clue why the body was like that, and you were being occupied?
Or broadcasting it on the television, I think it would have a similar impact.
If none of these, then what?
Nothing?
That would achieve nothing, only a few tortured bodies that no-one knew about, no deterrent there at all.
Also, as SPDChess has correctly pointed out:
"Unfortunately history disagrees with you on this one. If a human believes in a 'cause' enough they will continue to 'defend' it until they and all those around them die."
I don't know what else to call killing all of the terrorists when they would take everyone with them, other than Genecide perhaps...😕
Anyway, I'm sorry that you have lost loved ones in these wars, I'm also sorry to all the people who have died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the 7/7 attacks and any other attacks that I haven't mentioned, I'm also sorry to all of those innocent people who have lost their lives because of the invasion of Iraq, and to all of the innocent civilians that have also died in Afghanstan (though I actually support this war against the Taliban).

Or should they have been left to continue?
Originally posted by Bad wolfI would agree with you that the terrorists should not be toutured, as punishment for what they have done. But, would you agree that they should be, shall i say, encouraged to provide information on any other plot they know of ( without drawing any blood )? Information that would save others lives. Showing the terrorists that you are morally superior to them will only make you seem weak to them. You are a young, idealistic, good young man, but i fear you will ne terribly disappointed when you get out into the REAL world.

More people have died and continue to die because of and since the Iraq war than under Saddam.

"As president, Saddam maintained power through a combination of the skilful use of patronage and the employment of systematic state terror, aided by a pervasive security apparatus. Upwards of 200,000 people were estimated to have been killed or "disappeared" during his rule, and at least a million more were killed during the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988) and the first Persian Gulf War (1991); he was dubbed the "Butcher of Baghdad" for the scale of bloodshed that he incurred[2] and reportedly embraced the nickname.[3] "

And yes I am quite idealistic at the moment. 🙂
