I agree.
Regarding those male murphys, Eddie was funny 20 years ago. Now, with stuff like Norbit, Nutty Professor etc, he's as funny as Tim Allen. And the other one was never funny.
I also didn't mind Bowfinger. The other recent (comedy) movies of his though were not that great, I agree.

EDIT: And neither is dressing up as a fat woman.
has anyone noticed how every comedy seems to have the same basic storyline? that is how eddie murphy's new movies are. there are a few types of comedies: a white cop and a black cop working together; or a guy with no partner trying to get a girl and in every movie like that there is a "sad" point, where he comes really close to losing the girl, and you see it coming every time; it is the same storyline being butchered with different jokes

some movies where the main character is trying to get a girl and loses her and then gets her back again include norbit, shrek (even shrek 2 when he already had her 😕), haunted mansion, even in dr. dolittle he loses his wife's trust because she thinks he's crazy, and idk if you are claiming he started the black and white cop thing, idk who did, but hes still repetitive whether he is copying himself or other people because he does it again in movies like i-spy and showtime
