@torunn saidNot in the catholic church. Men do the damage to young boys.
Rusty, we can't accept that men do damage to young women just because they can't control their hormones.
@executioner-brand saidIs that "ALL" men in the Catholic Churches? You can't blame a whole society for what some do.

Is that what I said torunn or what you got from what I said?
Lets not make something out of nothing, we were talking about nude beaches.

Or hormones they have a problem controlling! ๐

Umm, you were actually talking about hormones not being controlled. Did you forget what you typed?
@very-rusty saidYes, and I say we can't have it.

@executioner-brand saidThen they should choose another job - they are not suited for the one they have.

@torunn saidOf course you could say the same thing about young women who dress attractively. It doesn't mean they are asking men to harass them or pay them unwanted attention. The social rules remain exactly the same with nudity and groups of young men probably get that one wrong just the same in both contexts.
It shouldn't be a sexual thing, but young men not used to the Swedish culture sometimes misunderstand and that creates unnecessary situations.
@petewxyz saidExactly. Women shouldn't have to adjust to these circumstances and this is how the problems occur. The consequences would be impossible to live by here - in other cultures they still have that situation: women shouldn't be out late, shouldn't be alone when waiting for the bus, shouldn't dress like this or that, shouldn't take a jogging tour on their own etc etc.

Torunn, I can honestly say that if I was a woman in America I think I would
behave that way. So congrats on Sweden being enlightened.
@earl-of-trumps saidWomen have come a long way here and we don't accept any backlash.

@suzianne saidNot at all Suzie Q, many young men especially in their teens have a problem controlling themselves. Their hormones are out of control as we get older we learn how to control them. I've said things to women I wish I could take back as a teenager.

Research discredits the persistent stereotype that men think about sex every seven seconds, which would amount to more than 8,000 thoughts about sex in 16 waking hours. In the study, the median number of young men's thought about sex stood at almost 19 times per day.Nov 29, 2011
Study debunks stereotype that men think about sex all day long

@earl-of-trumps saidIt seems that men behave pretty much the way they have been brought up, and that can take a long time. ๐
I understand, Torrun, but it goes beyond that. It takes the Swedish men not to be
so inclined as to make the women worry.
So your whole society gets a thumbs-up, as I see it. Enlightenment.
@very-rusty saidYes, where you are and where you were brought up, pretty much.
What is ok and not ok seems to be in what country you happen to be in from what I can see.
