There's really no better way to educate a troubled teen about the dangers of drug addiction then to take him out of school for a year.

And who's "them" ? Kids that do coke? They're not lepers, you know - just a little too adventurous. The majority of kids these days experiment with drugs, don't they? The earlier you experiment, the faster you grow up. 😏
Don't get me wrong, there should be some form of punishment but to kick them right out of school for a year. I think that's a little foolish.

"them" are people that do coke in school. At least until I graduate - I'm trying to get into a good college, don't need them messing up the reputation. 🙂
I'm not about to argue about drugs - but from everything I've seen they don't lend well to achievement.
What do you suppose they do instead? It's a super-illegal drug, and to be doing it in the school bathroom while school is in-session is just idiotic. This about the third suspension for this type of thing in a month - which is more than I've ever remembered my school giving out in a year.
The person caught was weird as hell too - not "cool and rebellious" but rather "what the hell is wrong with that person?" It was a girl btw.

The post that was quoted here has been removedIt depends on the drug. My school is generally known for being extremely snobbish, preppy, and upper-class. I personally am probably in a middle/middle-lower class family. As far as doing drugs in school goes this is probably the general feeling at my school. Doing something like pot outside of school is probably split, I think most of my friends probably think it's idiotic, but I have a few that are on the other end with it. Anything besides pot is probably too extreme for my area and isn't accepted. My sister was (is? :/) about as much of a pot head as you'll find, but according to her she won't touch something like pot or heroin. I've never done pot, etc. so maybe I'm biased, but I'd like to see somebody try to justify using drugs in school.
