USC plays a weak schedule, therefore they are at a disadvantage against a one loss Big 12 team and a one loss SEC team. That was my point.

As for predictions:

I'm taking every Big 12 team, although the Colorado vs FSU and Nebbish vs VT games I'm not too certain about.
Yes, scheduling two out of conference games against bowl teams (one which went to the Championship game) was "weak" scheduling.

I didn't say they intentionally created a weak schedule. They simply play in a conference that's down and the big name OOC teams just happen to be down this year.

While a one loss USC team would almost certainly be rated lower than a one loss SEC team, I'm not sure the same holds true for the Big 12. There's lots of ifs, but IF OSU wins out, they'll be a Top Ten team and USC's easy victory will be far more impressive than any Big 12 out of conference win.

You can make as many different "what ifs" no matter how unlikely, just as you did for Notre Dame.

You think it's "unlikely" that OSU could win out? Give some reasons why for a change. Even if they lose one more game, the USC victory will still be more impressive than any Big 12 team out of conference win.

EDIT: You are the one who started this with a very big "what if" i.e. USC has to hope that either the Big 12 or SEC top team has at least two losses.

Florida gets knocked off at home on a missed extra point.

I didn't start anything. I just stated the fact that USC is going to need either the SEC top team or the Big 12 top team to have two losses if it wants to play for the MNC.

You still haven't given any reason why. USC's victory over OSU is still the most impressive out of conference win this year if, as expected, OSU remains ranked. No Big 12 team has a win of such magnitude over a quality opponent.

Sure I did.

Look at that; Notre Dame thrashed Purdue 38-21. Of course, I'm sure someone here will say they were throughly outplayed.😴

And Purdue sucks. Purdue lost to Oregon and have defeated Northern Colorado and Central Michigan.

Predictable. By the way, terrible Michigan beat no.9 Wisconsin today.

Yes, but they would have lost if they played like they did against Notre Dame.

And Wisconsin would have won if they played like ND did that day.

You really have a hard time admitting when you are obviously wrong.

Wisconsin over that team up north. It is the first time that Wisconsin has been favored while playing in Michigan. In addition, if Wisconsin wins, it will be the first time in over 40 years they have beaten them back to back years. Also, it will be the first time since 1967 UM would loose their home opener in the Big Ten. You know, I always save the best for last. SWEET!!![/b]
Well it just goes to show you that going against history is risky. That team up north looks like they are returning to their former self. 😞
