As far as coverage goes, I think we are all swayed. If I had not grown up in an area that actually covered Big 10 games, I would never have heard about dotting the "i". You just happen to follow the Big 10 so you happen to know about the tradition.
In Oklahoma the band leader who leans way back as he leads the band on the field is a big deal. I didn't know about that one until I came out here. Each area has its "important" traditions.

You guys pounded Washington yesterday. Did you get one of your quarterbacks back? Or did the third string guy figure something out?
All 3 of our QBs contributed to or scored TDs yesterday.

Perhaps it is, but alot of people don't know about alot of the tradition
There are traditions many people may be aware of, most are not taken seriously anymore.
Army-Navy used to be an important traditional game at one time, now most people don't give a flip about it. That's because neither team is any good.
USC vs UCLA used to be an important game to me. Nebraska vs Oklahoma used to be an important game. Miami vs Florida State used to be an important game.
I suppose for some people these games are still important. I suppose some years alot of people would agree, if there is a NC or Conference championship involved.

Most of them will be blowouts; too easy. How about we disqualify any games with over a 10 point spread and move down the list of the Coaches' Poll?

Alabama, Texas and USC are obvious mismatches; why put them in when everybody is going to pick the heavy favorite? Missouri is a 10.5 point pick and would be deleted under my criteria as well (though since its just above the line I suggested and Nebraska is home, I guess including that one is understandable).
I'll get back to you with suggested replacements.
EDIT: Ditch the Alabama, Texas and USC games. Add these:
UConn (undefeated and ranked in the Top 25) at North Carolina. The Huskies are a 7 point dog.
The most interesting game of the week: Oregon State (victor over USC) at #15 Utah (undefeated Mid-Major which beat Michigan). The Utes are somewhat surprisingly 11 point favorites.
And of course: 3-2 Stanford (who would have thought) at lousy, 3-1 Notre Dame. The Irish are favored by a touchdown.
Picks:
Missouri is overrated and one of the top teams has to fall; the Huskers in a shootout
Texas Tech over K-State; both haven't play anybody.
Michigan over Illinois which hasn't shown anything.
Wisconsin pounds Ohio State
Florida St. over Miami
Don't know why this game is "interesting"; NC St. been blasted in 3 of their 4 games against Div I. BC easy.
Vandy knocks off underacheiving Auburn
My games:
North Carolina knocks UConn from the unbeatens.
Utah's the real deal; they handle Oregon State.
The Irish keep rolling to their BCS bid (😀) with a win over Stanford.
