Today is tomorrow...so to speak, and Countdown has narrowly avoided being relegated to the depths of page 2 once more.
Come on Whitely, your fans need you!

Alcra’s word doesn’t TICKLE our fancy with only 6. We may be looking for a new CLIENT to play the game if Jacko can’t beat his 6. demonseed and Favs tried to INFLECT their word to make it sound more impressive than a 7. Both Mayharm and wucky charged straight in with FETLOCK for 7. But the winners of this round were The Plumber, Freddie2004, Marcusr and Chris who proved to be very flexible with FLECTION for 8. Both Richard and Carol failed to score in that round. Richard relied on his faith to get him 7 with LECTION, while Carol was reminded of her night of romance with chris with TICKLE for 6. *Carol muses to her self, if he only had a 6. Sighs*

For those who may be a bit confused with Richard and Carol being contestants in this show, this is what’s happening. I am taking the letters and numbers games exactly from a Christmas Special featuring a battle between Richard and Carol. So you really are in direct competition with them both.

So the table looks like this (in brackets total of words submitted for comparing with Richard and Carol’s score)

The Plumber 8 (8)
Fred 8 (8)
Marcus 8 (8)
Chris 8 (8)
Alcra 0 (6)
Jacko 0 (6)
Demonseed 0 (7)
Favs 0 (7)
Mayharm 0 (7)
Wucky 0 (7)
Richard 0 (7)
Carol 0 (6)

And onto the next game.

The letters for Game 5, Round 2 are…

*** R L E R T E E P E ***

There’s 9 in the frame, lets get on with the game.

R

[EDIT] PM me the word. 1 point per letter awarded to the person(s) with the longest word. 18 points awarded for 9 letter words. Dictionaries are allowed. Software of any sort that can be used for solving games isn't.

If it's not a word then it should be

Fickleton n. One who has sexual relations with a morbidly obese panda.

From the verb:

Fickle vb to have sexual activity with a morbidly obese panda

(~context~ No wonder they don't breed in captivity with so many fickletons working in the zoos these days: they'd get fickled senseless)

Nope, afraid not. To be honest, I didn't think u submitted for that round, the way we had left it, and then I just forgot about you. 😞

Any word that doesn't appear in any of the dictionaries or google can't be allowed I'm afraid. I'd say a swift letter to Oxford Press might be called for.
