That might work. Or it might encourage her. Punishment can easily turn into reward if you don't understand the person's psychology.

You can try the shock, but if it doesn't work, ignoring is still an option. It might take longer though. Some people LOVE having some kind of drama in their lives that they can gossip about etc. Your admirer seems like one of these people.
