Still.......I think it was very ballsy. I'm not exactly the approachable type.

And he didn't bung it up by asking if I'd cook him dinner....good move. 😛
It still may be a beautiful moment or relationship. I'm just saying that men at their core are still operated by their brainstem. Are you going to fix dinner for him?

Hey! I was getting all excited and thinking I should borrow a couple of my students and take a cab somewhere! I was so sure that men only have kindness and goodness lurking in their hearts. Now you've burst my bubble. :'(

Oh, wait. I thought that when I was six or seven. Never mind.
I for one am keeping my bubble perfectly in tact. There are many men of honour and integrity out there who still know how to treat a lady right. They're not all filthy pigs who look for women with kids and a grocery cart thinking about getting a feel and some food.

Although my one friend keeps hounding me to borrow the baby everytime he needs to go shopping at the mall.

He calls her a chick magnet. 😕

You're right! Ain't that just the way it goes?

The result justifies the method. . . .

Uh? My post had nothing to do with the intelligence of her children. It had to do with what this man observed in the situation. Mokko knows I is on her side and always trying to be helpful wit mens.

LAdies and gentlemen of the jury, the prosecution rests. Yo, when did you get this epiphany that men weren't pigs. Didn't you start a thread about men being pigs or something like that?

I never quite understood that ritual. Can you explain it to me?
I mean I always do what I want when I want it, and that has always been good enough.
My phone is normally turned off. I wait for no man 😉

This is how it usually works around here.....be interested to hear how it goes elsewhere.

A man will approach you...make small talk...ask if you are married or attached. Upon finding out you're not they'll ask if they can take you out sometime, either dinner or movies ect. You graciously accept and give them your phone number.

It's innapropriate to call too soon. It's a turn off. Normally 3 days is a good time frame. So by Friday it would be ok to call and ask how my week went and ask what my plans are for the weekend. At that point we would agree on a plan for Sat. night. A place to go and a time to go there.

Weather it goes good or bad the woman should always call the next day to say thank you. If it went good you set up another time to talk, if it goes bad you don't.

Keep in mind I'm so far out of the dating scene I'm really only guessing at this point. 😛

Mokko is tired of slaving away in the kitchen and is ready to start taking chances with dinner invites. 😀

I have to consider the possibilities of such actions .......hmmmmm

This could pose a serious threat to reality as I know it.

How soon would you be willing to have said surgery? 😉

I don't agree with this one. I think it's just silly game playing. If someone meets someone that is exciting, why not act on it, show the excitement, and not fear rejection?

What if the guy you met has not read any Jane Austin. . . and does not know what acceptable dating form is???
