I remember it, I just didn't think it was a big deal, and I certainly don't see how it pertains to your beef with me, whatever that is. As a matter of fact, I don't see how you think I have anything to do with that ancient conversation at all. I asked divegeester a question, so I would hope you'd try to keep from flapping your jaw at me regarding something inconsequential at least until he answers the question.
It's posts of yours like this that make you seem unprincipled sometimes.

Wow. Talk about paranoid. I would advise you to calm down and try to get a grip on reality.

But, I can see that you are not even going to answer the question. You say, " I'm not dragging anything up whatsoever." And then you drag something up out of another forum. I think I'm done here.

Pretty interesting for someone riding their high horse all the time, calling people who have the audacity to not agree with you unprincipled. And yet you bob and weave and dodge the question with the best of them. So much for your "principles".

Good day, sir.

You really don't read what you post, do you?

Your own handling of James 4:4 ~ like now, trying to land some kind of weird Christian punch on a fellow Christian's nose ~ and your attitude to jospehw's brandishing of it has always struck me as unprincipled, and rather tawdry, stretching way back. I've always said so.

So what is James 4:4 about if not about people who are an "enemy of God"?

You quoted it "at" divegeester after he shared a joke with wolfgang59 about Grampy Bobby here on the General Forum.
Show me exactly what I said. Show me the post.

Here's what you said to divegeester: In the thread titled "Why Americans are fat and loud" you joined in with atheist to "insult" another Christian, which is why I made the statement, "you make strange bedfellows" and referenced James 4:4.

wolfgang59 (the atheist you were referring to above) and divegeester were engaged in a bit of banter about Grampy Bobby's proclivity to copy paste.

This is the exact quote. I never denied saying it.

"You pick the strangest bedfellows geester. James 4:4"

So, I reread the entire thread to get the whole context. I referenced James 4:4 because, based on the thread content, you joined with GB's detractors making disparaging remarks about a brother. You say you're a Christian but you team up with those that deny Christ and assail a brother.

You're still doing it. This isn't about being friends with unbelievers. I have friends too that don't share the faith, but I don't engage with them in worldly matters that the scriptures clearly define as sin. To the best of my ability.

There are two paths in this world. One is broad, the other narrow. GB is a trusted friend and a good Christian brother. I won't stand idly by and tolerate the character assassinations hurled at him by those that can't stand his posting style or the things he had to say. It was hideous to see.

Believe it or not, it was not my intention to say that you were, or are, an enemy of God when referencing James 4:4. But, since you say you're a Christian, you might want to examine the idea about making a distinction between who is your brother, and those you call friends.

That's all I'm really saying.

What "worldly matters" are you claiming divegeester is engaging in? Which of his disagreements or criticisms of Grampy Bobby over the years do you claim "the scriptures clearly define as sin"?

Oh? So what does the text of James 4:4 say?

You mean the entire contents of this Thread 167360?

In what way did you not "stand idly by and tolerate the character assassinations hurled at him by..." ...Seitse on that thread? You've just said you read the entire thread, right?

josephw's peculiarly fulsome endorsement of Seitse's abusive posting style (he called Seitse 'courageous' if I recall correctly) and josephw's refusal tackle him over his comments directed at, or about, Grampy Bobby can hardly be described as something "from the bottom of the river"; it happened only in the last few weeks. 😉
