im 27, it started when i was 18. everything from suicidal tendency"s, thoughts of homicide, or completely jaded. i wouldent care about nothing.....and i meen nothing. your world becomes uncolorfull everyday.
ive learned to deal with it. which means everything is still black, but instead of wanting to cut myself or something i just combat it mentaly by use of perscription drugs and positive thinking. but i still think the world is sh__t, and most people seem fake and superfitcial to me. i dont think that will ever change. anyone else feel the same way?

You live in a 1st World country, you've got a roof over your head, easy access to food and clean drinking water, no life threatening diseases (I assume), no wars being fought on your doorstep, rights to vote and express your opinions, access to health care and medical treatment, opportunities for education and employment... the list goes on an on!
There are millions of people in the world a LOT worse off than you and I bet most of them would give their right arm to trade places with you and your 'bleak' life.

Bot 6, I pity you.

There, there Bot 6. You're an individual, just like everyone else. These are tough issue that we all have to deal with in life. Don't give up on yourself, you're a wonderful person... blah, blah, blah... and some other transparent 'inspiring' statements to feed your apathetic ego.
Was that better?

It is like saying to someone in a wheelchair, "At least you still have your arms, there are people who don't have any arms or legs".
We all live in relativity, and those people who live in war zones do not want to hear things like, "Well, there are people worse off than you.". You do not live in bot 6's life and it is easy to say to people worse off than you, no matter what form, to say that their life is great in comparison to others.
Psychological problems are serious problems, and do not "appear" as serious as someone who has obvious physical problems, like being in a wheelchair (although someone in that predicament can gain psychological problems due to this, but that will have to be dealt with).
What bot 6 needs is years of therapy. Web forums aren't the best place for that, and certainly hearing that "there are people worse off than you" isn't going to help in any way at all.
Originally posted by bot 6you get that here in moderation too. i mean, bad wolf is a 30 year old underwear model and Hand of Hectate is actually a nice person. they just become different people with the mask of the internet shrouding their true personas.
...and most people seem fake...
just like in the real world my beautiful face and handome body shrouds my geeky nature inside, this chess site is their "attractive body". through it they too can.....
oh, i don't know.
*insert something funny here*
I really dont thing some of these "sympathetic" comments are what Bot was looking for. He/she has stated that they have had suicidal tendancies etc and to be slightly ridiculed here wasn't the answer he/ she would have been looking for.
Bot, im glad to hear you have it under control, do you have frequent visits to the doctors? has he recommended you to a specialist? maybe a phychotherapist etc?
Alcohol is far from the answer so ignore the stupid comment that has been posted above.
Sorry about the he/ she comments Bot, im not too sure of your gender. No offense intended.
