Of course you do! Germany never even smelled goal after scoring in droves against everyone else. Had it not been for the ticky-tacky PK Germany would have been blanked. That, sir, is a whooping in football! You and shallow blue smoked something likely made of dried up cabbage and it affected your eyesight. Germany was rendered ineffective and had no answer for the Italian "catenaccio". As for the analysis that Italy got lucky, really? Mere flashes of brilliance? Italy had a game plan, effected it brilliantly and solved the riddle. Germany did not! That is a whooping!

I was a bit worried then. I thought I had seen a different game or was suffering dementia . Nice to see that someone watched the same game as me. Italy dominated most of the game until Germany realised that they might have to score two goals with ten minutes to go; and even then they weren't convincing.

I'm completely shocked at how crap germany were as I expected them to take command.

Italy were a pleasure to watch. They moved the ball around with ease. If it wasn't for Diamante or whatever he is called, being so greedy, Italy would have score two or three more goals. Pirlo is a diamond and orchestrator.

Not sure what happened to Germany but they didn't even seem to try. Bunch of
cabbages.

It is really intersting to see these top sides now and how they play against each other. UNpredictable thingas are happening that only peopel who are really clued up in the game can predict. NOT LIKE US! 😛

Winston Churchill was defeated in the election on domestic issues, the country was ready for radical social change and the introduction of the welfare state, which is not the sort of policies that Churchill was associated with.

To pretend that his parties defeat was due to his record as a war time leader, or apprehension about his realism concerning the threat posed to the rest of Europe by the expansionist policies of Stalinist Russia could also be deemed silly.

I would imagine by now you have found a revisionist historian who has found new evidence contradicting the claim that Russia subjected Eastern Europe to 40yrs of oppression. I would imagine those that had to live under the heel of the Soviet Union might have opted for WWIII instead.

I suspect that as usual you simply like to disagree because it is me. Here's a clip form a German commentator:

"Naturally, it's both. Ten days ago, I wrote that "one day, Germany coach Joachim Low will make a wrong decision. However, as yet it's entirely unclear when that day may come". Well, it came half a week too early. After the semifinal, an unusually defensive Low said that his decision to start Toni Kroos, Mario Gomez and Lukas Podolski was well-founded and that it wasn't the reason the team fell behind 2-0, as both goals were given away by defensive mistakes.

Yes. And no.

Because the decisions Low had to make not only concerned the players he should or should not bring on, they also concerned the players he should or should not take off. Put simply, many fans felt that it was time to bench Bastian Schweinsteiger and the coach's decision to give him another chance wasn't rewarded.

The same went for the decision to start Podolski and Gomez, as both had a very quiet night to say the least. In my opinion – which is not widely shared, it seems – Kroos had a decent game, considering he was asked to have an eye on Andrea Pirlo, which is not a role he is comfortable with.

Yes, none of the names mentioned so far played a role in the crucial first goal, ironically given away by one of the two best German players at this tournament, Mats Hummels. But it's not like this goal happened in the first few minutes.

By the time Italy went ahead, they were already the better team, in no small part because Germany had so many players who were not performing -- the team never looked like a cohesive unit. It was the Azzurri's game to win or lose long before Hummels was duped by Antonio Cassano. "The Italians were more mature, more clever," Lothar Matthaus said. "By and large, they had the game under control after about ten minutes." It doesn't happen often, but I agree with Matthaus."

Germany was woeful. Of their only three decent scoring chances two were Buffon jitters, uncharacteristic I might add, and the third was the only real chance on the Reus set piece. Even that, in spite of the Buffon save required to stop it, had Reus aimed for the corner he scores and perhaps the game turns more even handed. I am telling you it was a whooping of epic proportions given the difference in rankings by FIFA, the fact Germany was the pre-trournament favorite, and Germany having won fifteen in a row comfortably. Italy taught them a lesson in footballing they will not soon forget. Also consider the fact Italy had lost Maggio to suspension. That should have resulted in a porous backside. Barzaletti had to play a position uncomfortable for him yet came through with flying colors. Prandelli also taught Low a lesson in coaching, called a brilliant game. Pirlo outshone the entire German team and Balotelli was brilliant!

I am glad to have you on my side. You and I saw the same game. The others were smoking something because the game was rather one sided. Every German attempt met with failure and they came closest on two uncharacteristic Buffon mistakes. Pirlo was brilliant and no German even came close. Balotelli goes without saying. When he takes his meds he is tough to stop and played brilliantly. Prandelli knows what he's doing and Low evidenced he is amateurish at times. Low's subs were weird to say the least. Gomez was off, Podolski was like a ghost and Kroos was nowhere he should have been outside of a couple of flash in the pan plays. Gomez looked like he wanted to be anywhere but the pitch. Italy played their hearts out and evidenced loving the colors. I picked Italy as a dark horse winner. I know Spain will be tough, but Italy does well in revenge matches!
