Of course I did. I got the graphics driver with this download I did for my intel chip.

Anyways I went to driveragent.com and did the scan and it says that my driver for e771p (monitor) is bad but I have the driver and microsoft won't let me update as I mentioned before. everytime I go to this driveragent.com My computer keeps locking up 🙁

This is the 4th time i'm writing this message.
plrase forget your monitor. What you must get is thr newest driver for your video card.
If it's onboard, search for the make and model of your PC motherboard, go to the site and download and install it. That's all!
Your monitor driver doesn't anything to do with your problem.
There's a zillion posts before mine on the matter.
Good luck.

Then there is a way to force install of a driver:

I am not sure the steps exactly in ME but this is the basis, there is a point installing the driver that he ask if you want automatic insltation or select the file, you want to do it manualy, then it asks where to look for the file, you want to seach for the driver yourself, and you will search folder whe ...[text shortened]... his and if having some trouble post the proces here and I will try to figure out what hapens.
Okay i got that to work.

How accurate is the driveragent scan?

I scanned and it shows that video, display and others are good but I still see flashing and flickering...

The only two that are missing are gameport and the sound ones. But I don't think those would affect it.

Well I never had a computer faster then 350Mhz to call my own till I got this 733 for free from work because it was going to recycle.

And with the old ones you stick in ME and everything is fine. Also when I install Fritz 8 it comes with direct X but this time I didn't care to install my chess stuff. I just wanted to fix my computer first. Maybe if I installed fritz first, it would have helped me solve my flashing monitor problem easily 🙂

Different question now:

How do I get back that application My network or something?

You know there is my computer, my documents, recyle bin, my network, i think??

I deleted it by mistake. Everytime I would turn on windows it would show that client microsoft password thingi and I found it annoying so by accident I removed that network thing.

I have the ME Cd with me, but i'm not sure how to get it back.

If you mean My Network Places;

Right click on start then properties, and under the Advanced tab, scroll down to My Network Places and check the box. Click ok.

That's for XP, I can't remember for certain but I think it's similar in ME too.

right click start for ME gives: Open, explore, search.

I found it though.

Start-control panel - network-add-client - client for microsoft.

Now how do I get rid of that login in thing? I know there is some simple way I used before But i can't find it now.

Ya, it says login for client network or something.

Not to worry, I handled it.

Thank you for your help, Dr Strangelove 🙂

Thank you everyone else.
