Aaaaargh. I can't sleep. I've started a five gallon bin of grape juice fermenting. Now I've been told that I am not allowed to have it in the communal area of the shared house that I live. So it's gluck gluck gluck all flippin' night. It sounds like a cat constantly regurgitating. Only other option, I guess, is to put it out in the garden, or perhaps, poor it down the drain. Or maybe I will get used to it. *sigh*.

Was wondering if you were talking about Willibald or David Gluck, Opera or modern?

Both, apparently. And a third one, maybe Alma Gluck. (The name of the classical one is Christoph Willibald (Ritter von) Gluck.)

that's why there are activated carbon filters. they're cheap and very efective. and putting the bin into a closet takes some of the noise away. but I suppose you could muffle it with a piece of cloth wrapped around the fermentation lock as well?
