vegetarian, not vegan. you get b12 from eggs, milk products or vitamin pills. alternative, but shaky sources are bacteria in unwashed vegetables and semen. although those will probably get you anemia or something else that you don't want to get. also fresh nori seaweed. dryed nori won't do.

as long as you get your b12 somewhere, eat healthy, vegan diet is perfectly all right.

Marvellous. I already eat very healthily and my diet has actually improved a lot since I became vegetarian as I watch what I eat and make sure I'm getting all I need.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful suggestions and advice. I will report back at some time in the future to let you know how it's going.

Cheers.

As I am off school for summer now I think it's a good time to give it a go, without t ...[text shortened]... re black and look reasonably similar to leather, I should be alright I think.

Many thanks.
Good for you!

I don't know how to deal with the problems you've mentioned. Sorry!

Vegan ethics are synonomous for no ethics and confused morals.

That doesn't make any sense. Ethics no ethics confused morals whatever you are just grabbing at straws. Being vegan is just what it is, and that is having a different belief system than the rest of modern society.

And ethics in general has to do with the concepts of right and wrong behavior.

And being vegan is wrong behavior. This is a simple concept. Now grasp it.

Surely the difficulty of being vegan is a not so subtle hint from nature that the human body is supposed to eat animal products?

Eating the products or flesh of animals isn't inherently bad. It is the inhuman way in which many producers go about the supply of such products. Becoming vegan won't help stop this (particularly if you can't walk or speak for lack of B12). If you really want to help the animals, join a movement. Veganism is an artificial ego builder and guilt irradicator.

No, not being vegan is really really dumb. Do you realize that you are judging somebody by what they eat and what they believe? In this case non-violent and compassionate behavior. You are a human being aren't you? 😕 But maybe you could prove your assertion first, that would be something. 😉

Exactly wrong. I suggest to you also, that you do some research; i could easily tear your mawkish statements to shreds.

For example; Who or what "says" that we are "supposed" to eat rotten dead flesh? Or consume dead animals everyday of your life?? You leave that question hanging in the breeze thinking no one will notice.

And let's define "animal products" while we are at it.
