I had an American neighbour when Reagan was in charge and I mentioned to him once that I liked his President and he became apoplectic, I had to beat a hasty retreat. Gawd!


I lived through the Thatcher years and I can categorically say it was a disaster for "the ordinary bloke". She gets my vote as one of the worst people of the 20th century.
