I've reached an important milestone in my 14 years of living, I've been asked by this girl to go on a date to this ice cream shop. Now I don't want to screw this up, how should I go about this? Any tips from the younger people would be nice. For the older folks, your smart&*% answers are welcome, plaese don't be too harsh. Why I'm posting on a online chess website for help in my life, I have no idea, so please don't ask me why.

If she's the one who asked for the date than half of the worries are off.
Of course you'll be nervous, of course you'll say something that will make you feel like a dork but at the end of the day you're the one to make it worth.

Best thing you can do is be yourself I would think, because if she approached you it would be because she likes you, so not being yourself might cause problems anyway.
Um, other things, errr....perhaps you should not be too nervous about it either, need to relax.
Err....sorry, that's all I can think of.

pay for her ice cream, and order what she orders size-wise. bigger implies your greedy, smaller implies you wish she had got a smaller one too. and try and pick a flavour she will like, so she can have a taste...
