You can message them asking them to move so YOU CAN RESIGN the game. If they are around, they may make the move.

That's an option.

Good advice, Phlabibit. Sorry for not observing this variant earlier. The resign option should be there, eamon o (I guess it was a site problem). And you can resign them even if it is your move! That's a new option, good work Russ!

Not all that new, I think it has been possible for about a year or so.

You can resign when it's your opponent's move, too.
I don't think you can if your still a provisional player.

I agree, but resigning a game in which your opponent is in vacation and his timebank and timeout has expired.... wow, that will surely be a premiere!
Just go hit the link, eamon o and you'll get rid of that bastard!

thanks sincerely for your kind help on that.
i have resigned. even though i was clearly winning.
one should be obliged to issue advance notice of vacation, and say how long one will be away. one should not be allowed go on vacation if the game is less than a minimum number of moves old.πŸ™‚

i want to pull the plug on the game but i dont have a resign option. how can i get rid of him?
Had you been a member you could have got this sorted instantly by contacting User 1.

You then remind him of all the money you pay him to allow you to play chess, that someone has gone on holiday which is preventing you from playing chess, and you ask that the holiday immunity is removed.

The holiday immunity is then removed and you can claim the win and move on to the next game.

This is a subscriber only feature.

But, as you said, only for subscribers! So go get that subscription, guys and you will have your rating boosted. Hurry, vacations are ending soon... πŸ˜‰
