If the Police get too suspicious or come close to finding the body then retrieve it yourself. Smash his teeth out to remove identification by dental records, then saw off the hands and feet to avoid finger printing (probably best to dissolve them in acid after as well). You may also want to mutilate the rest of his face and any distinguishing marks so the body can't be recognised by any of his family members.
Also, never dump the remains in areas where dog-walkers go or in rivers. They're the number one methods for the public to stumble across it.
