My dad always said he was 19! Some of my colleagues disagree. Surely he's not 12. Why doesn't he have to go to school, I asked. Because he's Tintin, was the reply.

19 sounds about right. He doesn't have to go to school. He has a job.

The character of Tintin was created on January 10, 1929, and his 75th birthday was widely celebrated in 2004

agreed. besides, what kind of parents would let their 12 year old kid go running around with some crazy sailor and those creepy twins and stuff?

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but from what I have read from that era, a lot of the adventure type writings were about young men discovering the world and themselves blah blah blah. 19 was possibly a little old for these kinds of stories at the time. 19 was not adolescent. So, with that and complete ignorance of the subject, I am voting for 15.
