>I've been attacked so often over so many years by angry women, and I've had to listen so often to angry men too, all of whom (men and women alike) seem to have let their anger dominate their whole lives. That's tragic, and it hurts everyone, men, women, and children.

Originally posted by Grampy BobbySure. I think in this day and time it is perfectly acceptable to denegrate men in sublte ways in the media. Some years ago I took my daughters to see the movie 101 Dalmations. There was a scene in which one of the scoundrels (a man of course) ends up strattling an electric fence and getting his balls electrocuted. Would it ever be acceptable for a woman's breasts to suffer the same fate? I'll post an example that denegrates men.
I know.
Edit: ... or think I know. Maybe I should ask you to elaborate for my benefit. Thanks.

I have no "conditions of reply". I made a thread about International Women's Day. I thought perhaps people might like to discuss it.
But as is typical among the majority of men here, they immediately see it as an "attack" (now THAT'S irony), and attempt to derail and trivialize the issue.

But I think it is a very small number of them who actually hate women and would hurt them if they could. But that will certainly never stop them from posting in a mean-spirited way, just "for the lulz".
As you have an interest in violence against women, I was curious as to how you see the attitudes directed at women on this site.
I think the majority of it is "for the lulz". But on the other hand, positive posts about women are often few and far between, except for a very small minority who have a good record of standing up for women. And confusing the issue is the fact that even among those who stand up for women in RL, they will often get on here and post the derogatory stuff just to be funny or to fit in. Unfortunately, this often results in new users to the site chiming in with anti-women rants because they think it's perfectly acceptable here.

For every episode of mistreatment of a man, there are literally countless spisodes of women suffering directly at the hands of men.

This argument sounds suspiciously like a white man saying to a black man, "Now wait a minute! You do know there have been white people who were made slaves before, right?"
I'm sorry, but that argument just falls flat.
