I don't think they're allowed to talk about that stuff.

quote from that page: Statistics that "psychs abuse 50% of their clients" are pure fantasy. The scientology front group CCHR has never been able to prove such allegations.

It's very strange to me that a religion would start from a fiction novel written by L Ron Hubbard.

Scientologists don't discuss their beliefs with outsiders because they know how crazy it sounds. They wait until they get you in one of their seminars where they have you surrounded and can gang up on you if you show any sign of independant thought.

I've got L Ron Hubbard's corpse right here if you want to ask him any questions. Two flubs for "Yes" and one for "No".

Religions starting from fictional stories? Yeah, that's NEVER happened before.

Actually it was the result of a bet with John W. Campbell, the now deceaed editor of "Astounding Science Ficiont" which is now "Analog".
L Ron bet him he could start a religion. And did. Among the nuttiest on the planet BTW. They are not nice people. If you do the apostate thing, leave, withdraw from Sdien., they harrass you. Or worse. A good
"religion" to stay away from. Even Islam is better. Six to one, half a dozen to the other actually.
