Socialism certainly doesn't "breed slackness". Quite the opposite. A pure socialistic society won't function in reality because it expects too much from the individual for the same to lead a meaningful life. And Sweden isn't a pure socialistic society.

By the way, that "Usama" thing in the Monterrey stadium (my hometown) was a shame and I didn't like it either because I love my tons of American friends (many of them studied at the university with me, when Mexico was not so screwed and we could study overseas), one of them killed at 9-11, by the way... however, I understand things like that happen because the common Mexican hates the U.S. for all the problems we've had with the U.S.; understand the difference between "explicable" and "justified"?
