"That music", as you call it, is mostly about love and the eternal struggle to find it, just like most music.

It sounds like you might have something against it for some reason, to prejudge an entire genre of music like that. Maybe you just haven't been exposed to the right songs.

And it seems to me that rap and hip-hop is way more about being a "playa" than soul is.

i listen to all kinds of rap i am not "prejudging" cuz it is my favorite music

No, I don't know what you mean. You seem to be saying that rap is the same as soul. If this is what you think, then I can see why you made the first statement you did,

The only connection I see between rap and soul is that the people who perform both are primarily black people. But the comparison ends there.

R&B has a lot more in common with soul than it does with rap. Some people think soul is gospel music or something... there's a *lot* of crossover with R&B and soul.

We must not be listening to the same R&B then, or more likely, the R&B bands you listen to who call themselves R&B are really more of an R&B/rap fusion.

I asked her to come to my work last night to visit me, and i set up a table in the canteen with roses, champagne,Candles and all sorts...she was so impressed, i don't think anyone has done anything like that for her before 😀
