Purely hypothetical question about troop movement--
Army X invades Province A from Province B at the same time as enemy army Y invades Province C from Province A. Do X & Y fight each other?

Chaps ... don't want to alarm you - but there's a fellow in the mountains doing quite well with his experiments with heavy water.
He's also quite keen on obscure eugenics theories ....you might want to form an alliance and take him out now!

No, they're never in the same province at the same time nor have they crossed the same border. Unless Enemy Army Y fails in its invasion and retreats back to Province A.
EDIT: From the rulebook:
Q: If my army retreats to the territory where it came from, and this territory is attacked in the 1st phase
by another army, I will be in time to defend it, right?
A: No. In your first phase, you have left your territory, if someone takes it over in the first phase, then, when it comes time to retreat, you will not be able to retreat to it, as it no longer belongs to you. Ha!

OK, another technical question:
Let's say I have cavalry on the border of an enemy province & infantry two marches away. The cavalry takes the province in phase 1; can the infantry march there in the same turn? Normally they couldn't (1 march + 2 movement to invade), but in this case?
EDIT: Chapter 5 - Move Points (c) If the province has changed ownership during the turn, then the Move Cost is 2 for the rest of that turn (no matter who owns it and this lasts until the end of the turn).

From the popcorn gallery: no-one has yet mentioned that Hungary and the Golden Horde are making very interesting (and slightly scary) neighbours.
Maybe it's just the yellow/purple colour combination, but the size of those two realms and the fact they share two fronts kind of leapt out at me from the map. Surely they have to figure rather prominently in eac ...[text shortened]... to modern France is a fractured jumble. I'll be keen to see who starts cleaning the mess up.
