No. They just failed to receive the e-mail I sent telling them that I paid, I guess.

At least I don't give the provinces I can't defend at the time to somebody else; that's a bit cowardly ain't it?

Actually it's funny about Crete; when we were still allies I was going to sell it to ya so you could have a harbor and I wouldn't have to bother defending a 4 gold province in the middle of nowhere.
Originally posted by SuzianneGee, I promised the Mamuluke he could have first go at ya and he's doing fine. You've lost half your army strength and virtually all your navy in two turns. I'm in active combat with three other countries and am holding my own; you're getting busted up by one other realm. Be careful what you wish for, Princess.
I'm sure you have, but you won't be there, per usual. Let's hope your lap dogs can march to it.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungNote the word "give" as compared to "sell". There were also other reasons that I mentioned why I might sell Crete to you; i.e. to give you a harbor to build some ships. That would have been a help to our alliance and in my interest. I fail to see what you have gained by giving away 6 gold a turn from Achaia.

Originally posted by SuzianneSince I'm pretty sure I mentioned it to ATY at the time, he knows better. Another case where you don't have the facts but keep making false statements. I have no need to save "face"; Crete was indefensible and I did not bother to try to defend it in a serious way as that would have required me to split my fleet. I did not consider that risk worth taking for a 4 Gold province; surely recent events should have shown you the folly of splitting up a fleet.

And the truth be damned! (You mean he's better at twisting the facts and misrepresenting them. And always careful in the use of adjectives and adverbs that suggest his argument is true and factual, when it's not. Calling a thing a fact doesn't make it a fact that one can build further argument on, but that doesn't stop him. This is what lends more credence, or the "air of truth", to his statements, especially to the untrained ear.)
