Norway knows the story, dork.

I'm sure he does and he says you double crossed him. What's your side of the story? Doesn't look like you helped him defend Zeeland much.

He can say what he wants to believe.

And as usual you'll say nothing.

Before turnfiles are in? No. Post-mortems can come later.

I know what happened...so he said something....just not to you.

Actually you know what he said happened. I know what Norway said happened. So each of us has one version of the story but not the other. If you would share what you know then we'd all be closer to illumination, wouldn't you agree?

Exactly how many times has Norway talked to you in the last week?

Four diplomatic messages. He used terms like "Radolph's deceit" and described you as an "outright liar". How many times has he chatted with you?

A lot more than you apparently.

Edit: And he described me as a liar? I will ask him.

Do tell. Did he mention to you his opinion that you were a deceitful, outright liar?

I would agree that illumination is a good thing, yes. However, whether I can share information that does not pertain to me or not is a matter for Saxony and Norway to say, not you. Besides, you are far removed from them and have your own worries, why do you even care?

Saxony is at war with Italy and is only one province away from Italian lands. Besides, exposing their deceitful ways to their allies and potential allies is a service to the European community in general. I wouldn't want another realm to be suckered in like poor Norway was; this is a matter of simple human decency.

Now that what I thought was a private conversation has been offered up for public discussion, let me begin by saying that I have already sent Saxony the text of the message to which the Doge is referring.

I have apologized to Duke Radolph personally, and I do so here publically. He may not accept it, and I can say I would not blame him if he did not, but when I commit an error of this type, I try to right the wrong by way of apology.

I will not discuss why I said what I did, in what I believed was confidence, and I make no excuses. If ever any one playing this game has never done such things in a moment of anger, then I have much to learn from you.

The Duke has explained to me in full his actions that set me off and precipitated my private message to the Doge. Duke Radolph has been nothing but level with me all the way, but circumstances led me to believe otherwise. In a moment of stupidity, I messaged the Doge and said things I regret. It is not right for me to cast any aspersions upon the character of Duke Radolph, or more importantly, buffalobill, the person. Like I said, I did not know that his personal character would be questioned in public, as one would hope that if the intent was to injure only me, the person delivering the news to the victim of the slander would have the decency to do it without dragging this message out for all to see.

Duke Radolph, I apologize here in all sincerity for my stupid remarks. I shouldn't have gone to another in anger and vented as I did. I can admit an error and am doing so. It is my hope that other persons playing this game will see the underlying reasons why this has come to the light of public scrutiny and that you will not be penalized for my mistake.

You grovel well. That is, of course, required in a Heather ally.

I consider PM's relating to this game as different from normal PM's. A normal PM is addressed to me the person and is ALWAYS kept completely confidential. A PM relating to MD is considered to be part of the game. Norway is not allied to me, so I treat messages from her as information that the Doge of Venice has obtained. If such information can be used to benefit my or other realms, I feel free to use it. The King of Norway did not make a request that such information be kept strictly confidential as other non-allies have done regarding specific diplomatic messages.
