You think I can tell the Horde what to do? If I could I'd have infantry in Asia Minor as we speak. He was pissed off when I told him I'd be exercising my previously negotiated passage rights with my ships in Thessalonia because he values his neutrality so much. He really, really doesn't want to fight you. If I controlled him, you'd be dead.

Your memory sucks. I never relied oon the Byzantines to do anything; in fact we were supposed to jointly attack them. You bailed on me when both Arles and Bavaria moved against me and then stabbed me in the back when it looked like I was going to defeat both. Aragon sold me out (including apparently telling you what our fleet orders were) but you have to ...[text shortened]... CS and 50 HP in the last few turns; anybody who looks at the old turnfiles can see different.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungI said it was a bad break for me that both the Byzantines and France became bots. Surely that is true. Stop being such an a**hole; you know it as well as I do. When nations that you are at war with become bots, you don't have to station any troops on their borders. Are you claiming that isn't a big advantage??

No more an advantage than Arles was to you. At least you got his capital and all his lands. All I got were a couple rural districts.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungThere's no comparison. I had to send large numbers of troops in to take Arles' provinces, leaving myself vulnerable in the east. You and the Bavarian failed to take advantage of your chance at that time which was a bit of luck for me.

The fact of the matter is if you had put your mind to it you could have taken Byzantium; it's defenses are more weakly held than Venice's were last turn. But instead of helping yourself, you helped the Bavarian. Smart.
Originally posted by no1marauderSpoken like the paid liar you are. The Saxons have given up about 800 CPs for the Norwegian cause.
Spoken like a true Heather. All Poland did is provide you and the Bavarian the advantage needed to finally break into Venice and Italy; why should you assist him when HIS country gets attacked?? Heather allies have a very low survival rate: Arles, Poland, soon Roum then probably Norway. No finger lifted for any of them.
Originally posted by no1marauderThis is laughable in the extreme, especially given the fact that Aragon apparently told *you* what *our* fleet orders were. Otherwise, I'd be in Calabria right now.
Aragon sold me out (including apparently telling you what our fleet orders were) but you have to trust somebody in this game sometimes.
Edit: BTW, Aragon, you can stop attempting to Ally with me. It ain't gonna happen. Trick me once, shame on you, but trick me twice, and shame on me...
So who received my PM revealing the movements of the Italian fleet? Please post it here so my treachery can stand fully revealed. ATY--admit that your movements were based on this document!
Roum--I have been attempting no such thing. I simply have no reason to be at war with you anymore. If it pleases you to remain at war with me, so be it. We can pull faces at each other from opposite sides of the Med.
Ok, this post is not aimed at any one person, but it's just something I want to say for the record.
I had decided to quit playing this game, since there is absolutely nothing I can do about my fate now. I was going to inform the GM that I was officially quitting and that he should refund all the money I paid in since I received practically no benefit from my brief royalty status. Not to mention I'm really, really, really tired of being ridiculed. And certain people have made sure that this was the absolute worst time I've ever had playing a turn-based email game.
But I'm not a quitter, unlike my one-time ally the Mamlukes. When he quit that was the nail in my coffin. Especially since I did not know he quit and another had taken his place because the GM was sending my game emails to someone else entirely.
Bah, enough complaining. As I said, I am not a quitter, so I'll finish this game, and then, some of you will be quite pleased to know, I am never playing this game again. It's too bad that such a good game has to be ruined by piss-poor management. Not to mention arrogant players. Thanks for the complete waste of a few months when I could have been doing something with that time that was actually fun instead of being pissed off about it nearly all the time. I am not the person I turned into by dealing with a**holes on an almost daily basis, so I hope that by not allowing myself to be suckered into being constantly goaded all the time, I'll snap back to normal soon.
So, in conclusion, I'll play this game out, because unlike some gutless people that started this game, I am not a quitter in the face of defeat. But I'm not going to bother posting here anymore because it only makes me angry and sad. The really sad part is that it didn't have to be this way. I only wish that I knew that I didn't have the heart for this kind of crap in the first place.
Thank you and good night.
Originally posted by SuzianneYou never had a chance of reaching Calabria (well your troops would have landed and been immediately wiped out and then your fleet would have been sunk); we had a quite nice ambush all set up for ya. Too bad you never sent in that turnfile.

I said "apparently" regarding the Aragon treachery; otherwise it's rather hard to figure out why ATY would have led with his Medium Galleys since if sufficient ones had been sunk, he would have immediately lost his troops anyway. Perhaps it was just dumb luck.
