I never thought any such thing as that all nations had Mongol cavalry. The rules were unclear as regards the fleets and the prior rule was that any battle stopped a fleet from future movement. Besides, my minor misconceptions were of no consequence; they did not lose me anything that I otherwise could have held.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungOf course. I didn't think that your cavalry could move 4; I thought that it required a battle to make an enemy use up 2 MP in a friendly province (it was Turn 4). It made no difference anyway; I would have left one unit there to pillage in the off chance you weren't going to "sneak" attack me (though I was pretty sure you would).
I'm referring to your "screening forces" in Croatia and Ragusa that were protecting Dalmatia against my cavalry. Remember?
EDIT: This has, of course, already been discussed: http://www.timeforchess.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=34723&page=57

No, I didn't.
I was wondering how some Siege Machines wound up back in Istria after knocking down Venice's walls.
So, I am just going to say that you will have to figure that out for yourself. I am sure you have your own interpretation of what happened anyway.
Originally posted by KnightWulfeWhat a useful post in the "Medieval Diplomacy Strategy" thread! It doesn't make any sense to me; the battle report clearly states that the Bavarian siege machines took part in the battle in Venice. That's a battle in enemy territory that should have ended all movement. Besides which, the Siege Machines only have 2 MP would should have been used up attacking Venice in the first place. There could not have been any Sea Transport since the Budan Fleet was destroyed in phase #1. So it must have been a glitch in the Diploware.

If you have any clue as to how it happened, you should share that info with the other game players so that they could avoid or create the same result in this or future games, as the case might call for. But it looks like your usual petty and mean-spirited selfishness overrides any thought of your fellow players.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. Apparently you left your Bavarian army #1 (7 German Knights, 10 Siege Machines) at a retreat level of 4 but with all units in Rank 5. That would mean they retreated after 1 round of combat. Since it really didn't make any sense for that army to retreat (the Siege Machines will be needed for Savoy or Rome as the case may be), I assume it was another screw up on your part.

Anyone know the address for the Veterans game thread? I can't remember which other three nations are RHP there. It's Arles, England and Norway, right?

I'd like to throw in an occasional narration of game mne in the appropriate thread for the popcorn gallery. Does anyone know the address?
So you're welcome to start a narration and I will chip in.

Originally posted by no1marauderNo, your constant putting down of people is childish. I simply wanted to remind people that they are no more retarded than you. Out of 20+ nations, you're one of the few to have lost his entire starting assortment of territories. Of course in your case it's "bad luck" while everyone else's problems are due to their own stupidity. Can't be God; the other two Freethinkers seem to be doing remarkably well in this game.
